Lots of people have gotten in already...Howl wrote:Under review! Yay.
So, based on last year's timeline graph, are we not expecting anything until early January?
It also seems that they are almost exclusively accepting 172 + LSATs, so if you're shy of that, it certainly could be til January.midwest17 wrote:Lots of people have gotten in already...Howl wrote:Under review! Yay.

If you mean December submits, it looks like a few December submits got in in December last year, but most had to wait until January.
yep basically!DR3 wrote:Hey guys,
I just sent in my application a few days ago. Got my status checker and it's already "under review." Is this normal? All of my other apps are "complete" or "received" but it seems NYU immediately put me under review? Not sure what to make of this - do they do this for everyone?
NYU moves fast with their Under Review. Very strong candidates normally hear back in a month or less.DR3 wrote:Hey guys,

So not a good or bad sign? I am a splitter (top-quartile LSAT, bottom-quartile GPA) and was wondering if the LSAT score may be the reason.barrelofmonkeys wrote:yep basically!DR3 wrote:Hey guys,

Speaking solely for myself, I went UR a couple days after submitting (mid-October) and didn't get more movement until 11/14 (another under review date). FWIWDR3 wrote:So not a good or bad sign? Came here to ask the same question. I submitted around midnight last night, woke up, and I'm under review.DR3 wrote:Hey guys,

LSAT above 75th? If there's any reason to it, that's all I can figure.rule615 wrote:Came here to ask the same question. I submitted around midnight last night, woke up, and I'm under review.DR3 wrote:Hey guys,

No, that's just what they do. Think of "under review" as NYU's form of complete.DR3 wrote:LSAT above 75th? If there's any reason to it, that's all I can figure.rule615 wrote:Came here to ask the same question. I submitted around midnight last night, woke up, and I'm under review.DR3 wrote:Hey guys,

Gotcha - but looking at LSN, etc. this is not the always the case; not saying it means anything, could very well have just submitted before they moved a batch to UR. Just trying to derive some rhyme or reason here, if it exists.barrelofmonkeys wrote:No, that's just what they do. Think of "under review" as NYU's form of complete.DR3 wrote:LSAT above 75th? I put my first UR date as complete for LSN. Most people did. Relax it bro.DR3 wrote:

They don't averageHowl wrote:Yea, I meant for December submits. Looks like NYU does big waves at the beginning of each month-ish? I didn't know they let in people on other dates though, here's to hoping they get back to us before January.
This might be a dumb question but - does NYU reeeeally average LSATs? People on TLS don't seem super sure about it, but it seems like they give more weight to the highest score despite what they say on their website.
