So my status checker date just changed to 12/12 but it still just says under review. What does this mean?

Has anyone figured out why they only call some admitted students and not others? Have been DLS/ASW since Monday, but have not yet received a call.

Just got the call! Showed up on my phone as a 201 number, so I didn't pick up, but then I listened to the voicemail and it was NYU.

No. It's a bit early to tell. seems like majority of those who've gotten in so far have high #s and/or submitted very early (i.e. sept/oct). There's another (albeit small) wave of acceptances coming 1st week of January. After that, prospects of getting in don't look so good

Just fyi - was just deferred from ED to RD. They said they'll be making decisions by late April, which is pretty torturous, but given my numbers, I'm excited I wasn't outright rejected!!!!! The notice came in an e-mail.

Just an FYI for an EDers that are still waiting, got an e-mail saying I've been deferred to regular decision (obviously, I was ED). Fingers still crossed!

I'm an ED applicant, have been under review for quite a while. Recently I've had my status date change two or three times (12/7 and today 12/12). I'm still under review.

I was not expecting to be admitted, but I thought I may have had a slight chance with ED.

If anyone has any insight to what this means please let me know.

If you don't want to share exact numbers that's fine but at least a range to see where we all stack up? I'm not optimistic about our chances, I'm thinking waitlist at best.

I originally went under review early November and my date updated to early December. RD, Medianish GPA and 25ish percentile LSAT.

I have the same dates as you do. I'm below median and at 25% for LSAT. I am not sure what NYU GPA median is, but I'm a bit above the 25%. I am likely below median there as well.

11/12 - UR

LSAT above 75th, GPA just above 25th.

sample size is obviously very small, but it seems like with the exception of one people who have chimed in thus far submitted in Nov. Hopefully that means they just haven't finished reviewing our apps/gotten around to sending out our acceptances yet
