Similar- also in at Berkeley and Michigan. I just submitted my essay for consideration for a Cornell Dean’s Scholarship that was requested when I was accepted. Come on, Cornell!!!

Haha. If it makes you feel better, I've "earned" my update by going from reserve to summer wait list the first time I applied, and after applying EA the following year going from reserve to summer wait list again, which I wasn't able to get off despite several LOCIs and visiting, sitting in on classes, meeting with students, etc.

A 12/5 stays update could be an omen ;)

Is there any indication that not getting updates is bad? I know the status checker suggests it doesn't, but I am running scared here.
