Last year was just a checker update, this year, everyone got a checker update and a call. Check the thread from yesterday.

Well, they were ED, right? Maybe someone they meant to call with yesterday's batch but missed or something.

Yeah, calls started going out pretty late in the day too. They might have just had a couple left over after end of business.

Guys, looks like I am the only ED admit on this board today. I received a phone call from Michael Ramos(?) shortly after the status checker updated. Of course, since I keep my phone off, I missed the call. But it sure was a wonderful message! I was seriously considering whether I was being pranked until I checked the admitted students website, and I was able to log in there too!

Yeah, calls started going out pretty late in the day too. They might have just had a couple left over after end of business.

You also have to remember that TLS only represents a small number of applicants; they could have admitted other people, who just don't happen to post here.

On the day that Berkeley called me, I came here and lurked (didn't register until a few days later), and everyone was talking about how strange it was that no calls had gone out that day.

At least they told the person whose mom is an alum that she'd be finding out 'by mail in a few days.' that makes it seem less likely that RD will have to wait till January or something.

Last year the guy that found out through the alum route reported the news on LSN on 11/30, which was a Tuesday. Everyone else started seeing status checkers update on Friday, 12/3.

Good luck to all the EDers who still haven't heard. Hopefully NYU will start another wave of decisions soon. Doesn't look like that many people have gotten in yet on LSN. It was such a nice touch for them to call people this year. I was not expecting the call at all.



As for the empty feeling some fellow admitted EDers are feeling, the same applies for me. But it's greatly overshadowed by the fan-freaking-tastic feeling of knowing I'll attend NYU come September.

Got my Status checker updated to UR today, was processing since 11/15.

Congrats to everyone in today, and I'm sure you all will manage to cope with the depression of already being accepted into one of the greatest law schools in the country . If not, just toss that acceptance my way, I promise I can deal with it.
