Is the 12,400 scholarship as much as South Texas will do? Has anyone heard of negotiating higher than this amount?

Just called them to check on my application. Talked to the guy, he said the app was currently being reviewed and I should hear back within a few weeks....oh great. I hope its sooner than that.

I think the interest is around 6%???

6.8 for the first 20,500 per year. Then based upon credit rating: 7.9% for all amounts over 20,500 per year. So at full sticker call it somewhere around 7-7.5% or roughly 7000 dollars in interest per year assuming 100,000

Also 8500 of the 20,500 is subsidized by the fed.

Does anyone know what a 1L's schedule looks like at STCL? Is it 5 days a week? Are the classes back to back?

I've tried finding something official, but this is the best I can come up with:

"ABA recommends a 5 day a week schedule, at least for 1L. Not all do it, but I think its fairly standard.

My 1L schedule looked something like this for the fall:
Monday 850-11, 130-3
Tues 850-11, 130-3
Wed 850-11, 130-430
Thurs 10-12
Fri 130-3"

Thanks for the info. I did hear that classes at STCL start at 9:50 which is a big plus for me. I hope classtime dwindles toward the end of the week like this example.

yeah my status is still app complete. Getting really annoyed. He said there were tons of seats left, and that since people were only starting to give seat deposits there would be alot of seats available.

Thanks, it's definitely a relief. I went to the reception on Thursday so I won't be going to the one Saturday. I actually decided on STCL after the reception so im really glad I went. Good luck with your apps, I'm sure you'll end up where you're supposed to.

Thanks, it's definitely a relief. I went to the reception on Thursday so I won't be going to the one Saturday. I actually decided on STCL after the reception so im really glad I went. Good luck with your apps, I'm sure you'll end up where you're supposed to.

Well, I'll be at the one next Saturday and most likely I'll give them the deposit check when I'm there. I really like the school, I just don't like that I didn't get a scholarship, which is leading to the second thoughts.
