You're on. No way Harbaugh would go to Michigan right now. He's got a pretty good thing going over at Stanford.wildcathighfive wrote:hipstermafia wrote:SO realfarrellaroonie wrote:+1bleedblue wrote:Everyone should refuse to go here unless they fire Rich Rod.

Re: Michigan 2011
Michigan does love their own, which is why RichRod was such a surprising choice (not to mention the style difference). The problem with getting Harbaugh in my mind (even though I would love to see him leave Stanford for Michigan) is that now there is RichRod talent there, and that doesn't work all that well with Harbaugh's system. The good news is that Harbaugh is a tremendous coach, so he could probably make due until he got his own guys there.
Edit: But it wouldn't happen by Monday. No chance.

Re: Michigan 2011
Most coaches cannot get their team to perform perfectly their first year at a new school, regardless of talent available, because of the large difference between coaches and style. Usually it takes 2 to 3 years for a coach to be running a team at an optimal level, because he needs "his" guys on the team.birdlaw117 wrote:Michigan does love their own, which is why RichRod was such a surprising choice (not to mention the style difference). From my LSN stalking it seems that people started getting letters in mid-January last year~Nola wrote:Has anybody received any scholarship information yet?

I'm also wondering if number two is relevant to number three, since I submitted on the 8th, got an acknowledgement e-mail on the 12th, and have yet to receive a status checker. I'm hoping (not without reason, I think) that when I do receive my status checker (in this Wednesday's wave, maybe?) that my application should already be complete. Although I wouldn't complain if it was already on decision by thensgtgrumbles wrote:Can those who were admitted - whether ED or RD - please post these dates: 1) Date submitted, 2) Date status checker received, 3) Date decision received/able to log in to Admitted Students' site? From LSN it seems that when you get your status checker is relevant. Those who go complete earlier seem to get decisions earlier. I think they send out status checkers when they move a batch of applications into the UR pile.T6Hopeful wrote:I'm also wondering if number two is relevant to number three, since I submitted on the 8th, got an acknowledgement e-mail on the 12th, and have yet to receive a status checker. I'm RD.
Sent 9/29 -> Complete 10/26 -> In Review 11/8 -> Accepted 11/12. I was able to get on the admitted students website like 3 days I think before I got my packet in the mail.
GL everyone!
