YES! I was expecting a lot this week and got.... nothing.Fresh wrote:Sorry man =/thecilent wrote:Just got the ding from Harvard. My first rejection. It feels eerily good for some reason. Really hoping Chicago doesn't follow suit, though.
Chicago will be wiser.
Does anyone agree that this was a disappointing week for admissions?
northwestern thread is even more disappointing. NU assistant dean sent out a twitter saying email acceptances were sent and only two people in the thread let us know they got in....Fresh wrote:Sorry man =/thecilent wrote:Just got the ding from Harvard. It means something. Maybe they are finalizing the read process for our files based on previous review/recommendations. From a data processing stand point they have to "close the file" before releasing decisions.eskimo wrote:ding ding ding!123xalady wrote:okay so it seems that everyone updated right? Not sure we can say that... I don't think waitlists/rejections will happen so soon, and I'm not sure we can guarantee that all of the 1/7 updates are acceptances.kk19131 wrote:123xalady wrote:okay so it seems that everyone updated right? I don't really think updating means anything
It has to mean someone is doing something to the files.
I think it pretty much guarantees that most anyone who updated today will hear on Monday.

Last year they started with acceptance calls and waited a few days to send out dings, then another day for wait lists. Not everyone who updated today will receive a call.
