I'm super tempted to send in a LOCI even though I haven't been waitlisted or held yet. I just don't think UT understands how much I need to be at their school! Bad idea or AWESOME idea?

I say AWESOME. I mean I don't know anything, but it sure couldn't hurt.. Right?

Also, I think if you don't do something like this and get dinged/wl you'll probably regret it.

Go for it. It worked for me, so it could work for you. Just shoot them an e-mail - it's what I did!

People, chill out. He goes to UT, so we can't hate . I thought it was a nice acceptance packet, but I haven't gotten very many.

Hell, I go to UT, too. I've got my Bevo horns all riled up, too.

Almost anything negative I say is in good humor. Nobody should be getting riled up over commentary on an acceptance package. I still thought it was a very nice and generous acceptance package. I was bored and thought I'd point out some of the trivial mistakes they made.

And if you think I could spend 4 years at UT and NOT appreciate an acceptance to the best law school in the state/region you must be crazy. I was just amused by tanning ads featuring some T&A sitting on the same set of pages as UT's distinguished history.

I'll ignore the fact that you said UT was the best in the state/region instead of the best in the country/world . Did you not get a phone call about your acceptance? I thought that was still the SOP.

So I was held over from EA and I'm really wanting to get in to UT. I've sent 2 additional LORs and an updated transcript. They haven't physically received the transcript but LSAC sent it out in paper form today. Would it be bad of me to send an email to Dean Ingram to express my continued interest? Is there some other way to go about it that would be more effective?

Thanks! i'm from Berkeley (and now S.F.) so it's gonna be a huge change for me. but i hear austin is the S.F. of texas. minus the crappy weather and storms. i'm definitely gonna visit.
