No, I was at UR (and it updated to today's date) earlier today. I didn't check it again after I posted in this thread, though, and then got the email a little before 5pm, so I don't actually know when I went to Decision Made on the Status checker.hopefulundergrad wrote: Were you both at Decision Made at all today?

Re: In at Duke!
I have been under review all November. It just updated my under review status to today, 11/25. This happens just before they render a decision right? This school is my biggest reach and I applied ED so will be interesting to see what happens. I expect to be rejected but I guess historically most rejections come much later in the cycle, so I hear.

IN by email after just a week under review!
For other applicants' reference, I did not write a "why Duke?" or a specific PS; I only sent them the generic version. Hopefully, this information will encourage those of you who didn't compose a Duke-specific essay.

EDIT: Maybe I should have said that the information ought to encourage those who feared YP here.

Re: In at Duke!
I've been under review for a month, so I guess I shouldn't be looking forward to an acceptance at this point huh?

Re: In at Duke!
Seems like they aren't YPing this year, based on LSN. And while your numbers are much higher than mine, I didn't write a Why Duke either, so it certainly doesn't seem necessary for acceptance (at least for those above Duke's medians).managamy wrote:Clever editing!galahad85 wrote:Fixed.managamy wrote:IN by email after just a week under review!

My Status date changed to Under Review 11/27/2009 after it was Under Review on the 17th - Did anyone else's change and not receive an e-mail? Do you think I can expect an e-mail this weekend?

Anyone know how long it takes to get the actual mail acceptance after getting the email?

I got the acceptance email at 9:30 PM on 11/23, and I received the mail package on 11/27. It's a very cool package imo.kinch wrote:Anyone know how long it takes to get the actual mail acceptance after getting the email?
I get kinda jaded from reading TLS, but Duke is an AMAZING law school, and I'm so excited to have been accepted.

Probably Monday, I think. My status updated to UR on 11/25 after becoming UR on 11/19. Then, I received the email on the morning of 11/27 (11/26 being Thanksgiving).DCLawGW wrote:My Status date changed to Under Review 11/27/2009 after it was Under Review on the 17th - Did anyone else's change and not receive an e-mail? I assume things aren't looking to good for me since my status hasn't changed since 11/3.

My status at Chicago hasn't changed from "complete" since 11/3, so I don't think that it's necessarily a bad sign.clint4law wrote:I assume things aren't looking to good for me since my status hasn't changed since 11/3.

Is it correct to assume that "file under review" translates to the file being complete and that a decisions on its way??

Re: In at Duke!
UR means it's complete, but not necessarily that a decision is "on it's way" or even looming for that matter. Sometimes it goes through "rounds" of being under review, and it can sometimes take several weeks for a decision to be reached after going under review. When a decision is reached, it will change to "Decision Rendered" or some basic variation thereof.Jornste wrote:Is it correct to assume that "file under review" translates to the file being complete and that a decisions on its way??

Re: In at Duke!
Just to add to this comment, Duke's specific variant is "Decision made; you will be notified soon." You'll receive the decision email within less than 24 hours of when that is posted.AngryAvocado wrote:UR means it's complete, but not necessarily that a decision is "on it's way" or even looming for that matter. UR is a slight step further than complete, since it means that the committee is actually looking at your file, not just that it's in the towering pile looming over them.
