Not that this matters too much, given GULC's awesome fitness center, but it's weird that the law school is practically unassociated with the UG school...I mean that with your GULC id, you still have to pay to use the UG gym and facilities...kinda ridiculous

The main campus gym smells like chlorine on the inside and is getting old (the soccer field on the roof of the gym was closed down this year because it was judged to be structurally unsound), and the library is jokingly referred to as Stalin's gift to Georgetown because it looks like something ripped from brutalist, Soviet Moscow (the inside also seems like it's still got a foot stuck in the 70s). GULC's facilities--be they the [AMAZING] fitness center, law library, or even McDonough Hall--are miles ahead of what the main campus has to offer. Aside from taking pictures in front of Healy, the main campus doesn't really have that much to offer tbh.

Hahah love your analogies. I'm completely aware of how much better the GULC campus is compared to the main campus! The main gym is basically a huge warehouse with curtains to split out the weight training/cardio area from the basketball courts. haha

I just thought it was strange that GULC is its own island that has nothing to do with its parent school.

Lol... *back in my day* the bottom part of New South was literally an old abandoned cafeteria. The main campus actually has had some nice facilities added for you guys in the past few years!

This is true, I was a a bit too harsh in my comment I guess for me since the facilities at the Law Center are already very good, I would not feel the need to make the trek through DC traffic all the way to the main campus. When I visited the Law Center a few months ago I was actually jealous we didn't have more of what they have!

Regular Waiting List, specifying that I'm on the regular WL and not priority reserve with my numbers (LSAT around 25%, GPA around 50%) I am not surprised, but GULC is my top choice so this is bad news.

Nope, they do not. I asked one of the admission officers when I visited GULC a couple of days ago

Well mine said in the email that I was "placed on the preferred waiting list." So maybe yours is regular waiting list if it doesn't specify? I'm not sure how their waiting lists work so that's why I was wondering about mine

I was placed on a regular Waitlist last cycle and this cycle I got the same message about being "held" until Feb 28th. I'm assuming it's just a status update, and an admit/WL/ding will come later.

Exactly. It says a decision will be made before Feb. 28th. It doesn't say anything about a waitlist, it says "Although the record you present is a strong one, the Committee on Admissions has chosen to postpone your final decision" which sounds similar to a waitlist to me...

Bad News: Could be something about your application...because those are definitely the numbers to get into GULC, let alone waitlist.

Is it possible they didn't see my new score? What should I email them and have you ever heard of them reversing a decision? Don't want to waste anyone's time...
