Those that emailed the Travel Agency to set up flight plans: How long did it take to get a response? How close were they able to schedule your flight to your desired times?

I called, and they were extremely accommodating. The travel agent was willing to look at a bunch of different options for me, and handled my inability to make up my mind very well

One thing to note--apparently, some of the cheaper budget airlines (Spirit, Southwest, etc.) will not allow you to use two separate cards. So if the travel agent finds something on Spirit/Southwest/etc. that is UNDER your stipend limit, then great. But if he finds something that is even slightly over the stipend limit, you can't pay the difference. Just something to keep in mind in case the non-budget airlines that DO allow splitting are significantly more expensive than the budget airlines. The difference you pay could potentially be even more than it would cost to just pay for the entire budget airline ticket on your own without the stipend. That was not the case with my ticket, but something to keep about if you are as miserly as I am...

I did have to try three separate times before I was able to reach them. There was a bit of phone tag.

Just got a reply from USC saying I should expect to hear about my $ reconsideration request within a week. I'm thinking some of y'all should hear back by then if not sooner.

Pretty sure all/most of us negotiating schollies will hear around next week. That's the only thing that makes sense to me - don't think I would hear back quicker than others who requested earlier than me.

I used to drive all the way to Glendale just for Target. Better than weho Target for sure.

Hey guys, USC is my number 1 choice, but unfortunately, I didn't go under review until today after submitting around January 20. I've been looking at lsn and there's been a lot of waitlists and rejections. It's scaring me lol. I'm wondering if an unsolicited why USC may help my case? Or is it too late or too annoying?

Went under review today as well. I would definitely NOT send a "why USC" right now, considering they explicitly stated in their emails that additional materials aren't added unless its something pressing.

Yeah but I had some friends who signed leases for apartments that should have been ready for August; they spent about two months living in a hotel because construction hadn't finished by August. So I'm just wary in general of construction near USC haha
