Dinged via status checker - 167/3.5 so not a huge surprise, would have appreciated a WL.
Gets the first rejection out of the way though, congrats to all admits!

I was admitted mid December and it's been more than 2-3 weeks (even with the holiday break). I know they might just be busy this time of year too, but it seems that everyone is getting $$$ offers relatively on-time. Anyone admitted before break still waiting?

GPA > 75th, 25th < LSAT < 50th.
I submitted 11/14 and went complete after a little over four weeks.

Apparently I went complete today. Decided to pull up the status checker since I got notification of Complete at Penn and my app moved forward today as well.

Wow, that's super quick for Michigan. You applied just a few weeks ago, right? I got an email with the status checker like a week ago, and I'll probably have to wait another 3-4 weeks to go complete.Instrumental wrote:Apparently I went complete today. Congrats to everyone who got admitted!
Does anyone know of the "list" of schools that Michigan will "compete" with for giving out scholarship awards/money?

you could try if that's your only bargaining chip, but if you think you'll get something from a T14 (and especially a T12) school, just wait.Tbone17 wrote:proteinshake wrote:Northwestern and up should work fine.Tbone17 wrote:Congrats to everyone who got admitted!

My Michigan app went complete today too. I applied like 2 days later than you and did send them a Why Michigan essay via email.Instrumental wrote:Apparently I went complete today. Probably, but if I had a full at gwu and nothing at Michigan I'd at least try.Tbone17 wrote:proteinshake wrote:Northwestern and up should work fine.Tbone17 wrote:Congrats to everyone who got admitted!

Re: Michigan c/o 2020 applicants (2016-17)
The worst they could say is no, but also, just in my mind, GWU and Michigan are two different calibers of school so if I were talking to someone who was telling me about their full scholly at GW, I feel like I'd be like, "Okay... And??????" I mean, that's a T20 vs. a T10...guybourdin wrote:Probably, but if I had a full at gwu and nothing at Michigan I'd at least try.Tbone17 wrote:proteinshake wrote:Northwestern and up should work fine.Tbone17 wrote:Congrats to everyone who got admitted!

Re: Michigan c/o 2020 applicants (2016-17)
A response to "and??????" Is "and $200,000 is a lot of money." I'm not saying they'll match it, but it is at least worth asking if they'd come up at all. You're right: worst thing that happens is they say no. Painless!brinicolec wrote:The worst they could say is no, but also, just in my mind, GWU and Michigan are two different calibers of school so if I were talking to someone who was telling me about their full scholly at GW, I feel like I'd be like, "Okay...
