Hah! I knew it would happen eventually. I made it easy on you though. I went* there. Lucky enough to have graduated last year (gettin dat WE). Also, yes I do. You are from the mountains, I'm from the could've been state capital (though if you're not from there you may not be aware of that fact). My SO's family is actually from not far from where you're from and a bunch of them still live there!

I can respect that. I'm essentially married at this point too, just not sure if the SO will be coming with me wherever I go.

Yea. It was definitely easier last cycle when it was just me planning and her still worrying about finishing up undergrad. Now, with her also trying to plan grad school, makes it tough. And she is more about staying in the same location with me which makes me feel bad because it limits her targets since I'm on that T6-15 or bust baby lyfe. But I tell her to go to the program she wants that'll give her a bombass education and we'll work it out. Just let me know where you want to end up so that I can merc that 1L/2L SA and get an offer-lock. I don't think she fully understands the intricacies of legal hiring/employment (hell I don't even get it yet) and assumes I can just transfer when she gets done. She was lookin at UVA too, but she's not sure her numbers are high enough.

tl;dr. Shit's so hard, bro.

well let's just ruin the compendium then.

Reappearing out of lurkerdom simply to say I'm dealing with this issue too. Fingers crossed I can stay with my SO in our city and (and in our awesome apartment). He is relatively open to moving to another major city, and it could probably work with his job. But honestly I wouldn't let him move to Charlottesville even if he wanted to -- unfortunately it would be a backwards step for his career and I don't want that on my conscience!
