Just went through USC c/o 2017 thread. There seemed to have been a wave on 4/10, 4/14, and 4/21 last year. Hopefully, some of you will hear some good news soon. GL!

Any word on the availability of scholarships? Seems like they gave out a lot of money earlier in the cycle....

Hey. So I talked with an AO last week, and they said that they try to give fair amounts to everybody with similar "credentials"--your numbers and other factors. Last year's thread had people getting $60-75k off WL iirc. LSN seems to be a pretty good indicator when I looked at it.LaraCroftEsq wrote:Any word on the availability of scholarships? eta: Speaking of which, LSN hardly has any people on WLs.

I wonder how well people keep their LSNs up to date....LawsRUs wrote:Hey. Any movement today? Was hoping for a Monday wave since we didn't have one end of March/first few days of April.

Someone needs to do detective work and find out the date of scolly reservation for last year, then compare it to the dates I mentioned on the top of this page, and make a speculation for this year. I would do it, but I'm on my shitty phone.

Heard back from notoriously slow-as-a-snail UVA this morning. Submitted that app nearly a month after sending USC's. Starting to assume waitlist...

Okay. This is awkward. I called the admissions office just now and they said my decision in the mail.
People posted they got in via e-mail right? So... like....does this mean I'm not in? I tried to ask her if there is any way they can e-mail the decision, but she said that is only for international students. Rejections via snail mail?

Dings and waitlists are sent via snail mail. Acceptances via email within a day or so after Decision Finalized.BM_1993 wrote:Okay. This is awkward. I called the admissions office just now and they said my decision in the mail.

Re: USC c/o 2018 Applicants Thread (2014-2015)
Just took a look at last year's cycle on LSN. There were a few acceptances on 4/9 for applicants with similar complete dates to mine (early January). Then they started releasing the waitlist on 4/10....No more acceptances reported after that except for one person taken off the waitlist on 7/29.
But I'm trying to stay optimistic too! We never got that end of March/early April wave.

I went to one of the events yesterday, and it was quite helpful. I met a lot of staff, including Dean Rasmussen (who, by the way, is surprisingly pleasant and down-to-earth). I also spoke with a ton of professors and current students. If you're stuck, remain positive!
