Could it be that we're looking at the wrong thing? We are looking primarily at UR2 dates and saying - "hey, if I went UR2 on 1/8 and this guy who just had a decision got his UR2 on 1/8 maybe my decision is coming today." But on LSN there is just one decision from someone who submitted after November. Could they be working through UR2s primarily by decision day? So a UR2 c/o 1/8 who submitted in December is going to be decided later than a c/o 1/16 who submitted in November.

So - did anyone who has received a decision submit his/her application in December?

OK, that is precisely what I have been wondering/worrying about. I know of a few people who had a strangely fast turnaround between UR1 and UR2 including myself, and I think it is really unlikely to hear back already from Penn after only one month of wait. I submitted my app on 12/19, went UR1 on 1/6, and went UR2 on 1/8... and based on last year's LSN posts, NONE of the mid-december submits got their decisions back in Jan. But of course I am WAYYYYYY over-thinking this.
