I have not tried yet but the worst they can say is no to any school you have.dustybottoms7 wrote:has anyone had any luck negotiating scholarships? what would be some good peer schools?
Took me a couple of hours. I'd imagine you would know by now but I think it can take up to 24.SomeoneElse! wrote:For those with decision letter mailed - how long after your status update did you get tracking info for the letter/ package? My status just updated today...

+1 but I think it's safe to say you can contact the school if you've reached your 12 week mark and haven't heard anythingrefugeelawyer26 wrote:does anyone know when we should start hearing back about getting accepted from the wait list?? or completely denied?

Is there a Vanderbilt rule to the 12 weeks, or is that just a generic any school rule of thumb?

I'd imagine near their seat deposit deadlines are major WL movement dates.Dulman wrote:Mid-may is the earliest we might hear about the WL - was the answer I got from admissions.

^^^ I will. I am worried that I will like the school too much and it will convince me to attend despite not getting enough $$$.

Went complete on 12/30 so today is literally the last day of the 12 weeks and just nothing.

Will you be contacting admissions? I'm in the same position as you, and can't decide what to do.marieams wrote:Went complete on 12/30 so today is literally the last day of the 12 weeks and just nothing.

Was looking for advice as well. Is it too soon to call on the last day? Should I wait until Monday?cafecreme15 wrote:Will you be contacting admissions? I think I may give it until the end of the business day on Tuesday, and then figure out what exactly I should be saying in this email...marieams wrote:Was looking for advice as well. Anyone know the admitted students website info? Didn't seem to include it in my packet (or I missed it?)?

+1 couldn't find it either. I've just been assuming it doesn't exist. Maybe all we get is the packet?KMart wrote:Anyone know the admitted students website info? Didn't seem to include it in my packet (or I missed it?)?

Still nothing:( To the people who have already reached their 12 week mark are your numbers in Vanderbilt's target area and are you planning on calling the admission's office to check on your application?

I emailed them last week in my 15th week and they said replied the next day saying based on my complete date, it would be still be a few more weeks. I do not know if I am the standard or they are just waiting to tell me they hate me. Hope the rest of you have better news if you decide to email/call them.bodie9 wrote:Still nothing:( To the people who have already reached their 12 week mark are your numbers in Vanderbilt's target area and are you planning on calling the admission's office to check on your application?

To me, it seems pointless to set a window of time for a decision to be rendered and then not stick to it. 12-15 weeks should be ample time to make a decision.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
