Also STL is not a major city, so you don't have to stress about housing early. You could show up in August and find an apartment tbh.

Thank you both for the replies! I guess my bigger concern right now is just what kind of cost I would be looking at as I weigh my acceptances/scholarships, not exactly where I would live.

I pay $825 a month, which is way more than I need to. I have friends that spend $400-500, which is probably average I think.

Credited. 500 is very doable.

Mhm, 450-600 with roommates and 600-800 solo would be my goals for a reasonable pad near school.

P.s. to be fair Scott, without a car you have to be real close to school or metro (train line for those unfamiliar), so that made your single a little more pricey. But you saved on the no car part.

St. Louis rent is unbelievable. You could literally go in on a penthouse suite with a roommate in CWE for the same rent that you'd pay for a studio/1br in Chicago. $825 in Manhattan might get you 1/3 of a studio

This is exactly why I'm spending what I do here, since it seems so low lol.

$800 gets you a shared bedroom in a 3 bedroom apartment with 6 guys on the upper upper east side if anyone was curious lol

Are you from the east coast? I grew up back east and miss it so much!

It was the same for me Scotti when I made the move from Philadelphia to Kansas City for TFA. Was paying like 600 for a studio-which for KC is overpriced but coming from the Northeast I thought it was the greatest deal I had ever heard. So I think I have a better idea of what to expect when I get to Stl. lol

In other news I raised my LSAT score 5 points to something respectable. Though still pretty below median. So I am wondering(I still haven't gotten word on a scholarship yet) how much of a difference that type of increase would make on my offer.

Thoughts on this anyone? I'm hoping they were just waiting for my retake in the first place.

Hey TLS,

I got accepted to WashU about a week ago, but I haven't received a formal offer yet. Any idea what the timeline for offers is?

Not a full ride but enough to surprise me. I feel really grateful.
Hey,

Congratulations. I got accepted to Wash U as well. I was just wondering how long you had to wait between the acceptance and scholarship emails.

WashU - I would love your t-shirt and thank you for the $$. You are the best!

Congrats to all the recent admits!!

WUSTL is one of my top choices and I've unfortunately been sitting at complete since 10/22 ... average numbers that are between the 25th and 50th. I'm a bit worried about how long the wait is taking, though I understand the backlog with the holidays and all..

Just scheduled an interview. Apologies if this has been discussed ITT before, but what does this entail? Are there any questions I should specifically prepare for? Is this mainly for YP purposes?

Those of you that were accepted, how long after your interview did you hear back?

Seems like it. It's a very casual interview, basically why law, why wustl, where you want to live, what you want to do, and if you've ever been to St. Louis. I wouldn't worry, it's pretty relaxed as far as interviews go.

I submitted early January and got my interview request the next day so that's been scheduled. Nervous about my first interview!
