You know what a median is right? 50% of the people attending Vanderbilt are below the median LSAT or GPA.thevuch wrote:JustHawkin wrote:Baseless speculation, but I would say the bolded is more true at smaller schools like Vandy or Cornell.thevuch wrote:Yeah definitely not. I would've hoped that being above one 75th and in between another 25th and median would've been enough. There's usually more to the story than the numbers tho. Law school is a numbers game primarily but other stuff factors in significantly sometimes
Anything is baseless speculation really unless it's from an adcomm who is talking about their specific school's process. People do get into top 20 schools who aren't above either medians or urms so this must be going on at some level somewhere

Yeah I do. Thanks for the lesson. What I was implying is that it's not typical for someone to get in being below both medians that is not a URM etc but that it nonetheless happens

I've been seeing people posting about being able to track their fedex shipment from Vandy. My status checker just says "Decision mailed" but I don't see a tracking number anywhere...Where are people finding this? Is there a separate email thats sent?

You have to go to Fedex Delivery Manager, create an account, and see if you have an incoming package.mlaw08 wrote:I've been seeing people posting about being able to track their fedex shipment from Vandy. Did everyone receive the email concerning employment statistics, date for the deposit and them saying they hope you'll join them this fall? My decision was made a couple of days ago (with nothing in the mail yet) and I'm wondering if this was just a mass email sent out to all applicants.

Same here. Todd Morton sent a rather lengthy response, with the main theme being that they give their best offers initially. However, I appreciated the thought that went into his reply. Based on what I've seen, it doesn't seem like Vandy likes to play ball on scholarship negotiation..jk148706 wrote:Tried and was denied.
