Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Actually looks like the first wave of letters was received on 1/25/13 (via email for international) with a few NYCers receiving their letters on 1/26 via mail. A bunch more were received the following Monday. I think it's likely that TLSers will start hearing back by the end of next week.

Wow, this month is going by pretty fast. Didn't even realize next week was the last "full" week of January.lastsamurai wrote:Actually looks like the first wave of letters was received on 1/25/13 (via email for international) with a few NYCers receiving their letters on 1/26 via mail. I know Columbia has had a massive backlog so I'm not too worried, but should I be concerned if my application is still not complete? Submitted Dec 8.

They can take several weeks, and especially with the holidays, I wouldn't be worried just yet.the_pakalypse wrote:I know Columbia has had a massive backlog so I'm not too worried, but should I be concerned if my application is still not complete? Submitted Dec 8.
One thing to consider, did you have a C&F disclosure? If you haven't sent in a dean's letter you will need that. That can sometimes hold up completion.

Since they send scholarship info with admittance e-mails, does that mean we need to fill need access out before they admit us? Or will they change the package around after we fill out need access?

i'm in the same boat. submitted 12/10. no C&F issues. hoping it's just the holidays that got in the way, as LS22 said.lawschool22 wrote:They can take several weeks, and especially with the holidays, I wouldn't be worried just yet.the_pakalypse wrote:I know Columbia has had a massive backlog so I'm not too worried, but should I be concerned if my application is still not complete? Oh god. I just got a waive of butterflies in my stomach. I can't believe we might hear back from Columbia that quickly. I so hope that you are right!lastsamurai wrote:Actually looks like the first wave of letters was received on 1/25/13 (via email for international) with a few NYCers receiving their letters on 1/26 via mail. I am still recovering from that fact that I read the graph wrong for 2 months.

So that means acceptances and rejections are only coming through the mail? No phone calls or emails (unless international)?

Hold emails and WLs come through email too, regardless of location.GreatExpectations wrote:So that means acceptances and rejections are only coming through the mail? No phone calls or emails (unless international)?

A lot of us on TLS are blessed and will be going to very good schools anyways. The waiting is annoying.

Wait, I had a C&F disclosure and didn't get a dean's letter sent in, but I'm still complete. Should I be worried about delays?lawschool22 wrote:the_pakalypse wrote:One thing to consider, did you have a C&F disclosure? If you haven't sent in a dean's letter you will need that. Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
That's interesting. For mine they specifically contacted me asking me to send it in before they made me complete. You're at "Complete" and not "Completion Pending," right? Was the C&F thing related to a university incident or just legal? If it wasn't university they wouldn't need a certification. Otherwise I'm not sure what would be going on.iamgeorgebush wrote:Wait, I had a C&F disclosure and didn't get a dean's letter sent in, but I'm still complete. Every time I see activity in this thread I panic. 1) I should know that nothing is going to happen for a little while, and 2) I should chill out

Re: Columbia c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Does anyone know whether Hamiltons/Butlers are given only with the acceptance letter and never afterwards? I'm retaking in February for $$$ and if that is the case, it would make sense for me to ask them to hold their decision until they have my new score.

Went complete today
Hoping I can make it in the first RD wave -- no matter how unlikely that may be!
