Personally, I think its because I finally got my LOR for WL/nonresponsive schools like USC in today. A shame that they'll make a decision before it gets there. Talk about an existential jinxing, but it might be good. xD

I'm (hopefully) going to the Admitted Bruins event next monday, so if i find anything out, i'll post it here. Also, I live like 20 minutes away from USC so if the scholarship letters are going out this week, I should be receiving it soon... and let yall know what's up. T_T I just want to KNOW! lol

Hate being a nervous nelly over here, but anyone else in the same 12/20 Complete boat? Almost 3 months later, and I'm debating sending in a LOCI...usc could just be crazy slow and my app didn't make it into a "worth reviewing quickly" pile...

Re: USC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Normally, I would absolutely send in a LOCI, but I actually called their admissions office last week asking about LOCIs... the lady seemed kind of annoyed and kind of (in a nicer way) said "of course you shouldn't send in a LOCI before a decision has been reached." She said the process is really "thorough," whatever that means... but in any case, she demonstrated a negative attitude towards LOCIs and they seem to maybe just be behind based on how many people are complaining about being complete/in various "reads" forever.ricsllscir wrote:Hate being a nervous nelly over here, but anyone else in the same 12/20 Complete boat? This school is driving me crazy! I was invited to, and did apply for, the Rothman (not intending to get it, but worth a shot). Still at Committee Second Read 12/13. I wrote you two essays, an application, and a video. At least give me an answer!

I haven't looked through the entire thread, but has there been any consistent time period between 2nd committee reviews and getting a decision finalized? I'd been on 1st comm review since 11/21, with a 1/9 update and a move to 2nd comm review on 3/9. Any idea if I'm close?

Well according to previous posts, their process makes no fucking sense.thefourthman wrote:I haven't looked through the entire thread, but has there been any consistent time period between 2nd committee reviews and getting a decision finalized? They are probably still immersed in the video you gave them: Everytime they are tired of reading our papers, they'd probably watch your video and relax, that's why they won't let it go. Send them an ipad or something, they'll probably let your file go.bigeast03 wrote:This school is driving me crazy! Call them or write them an e-mail. I had the same thing happen to me, same complete date too. I wrote their office a kind e-mail requesting the info. They didn't respond. I wrote an admissions officer directly, she told me to double check my spam/trash folders, like I hadn't already done that a hundred times. I wrote her again requesting the info, and she sent it the next day.kmh504 wrote:I've been complete since 1/10 and have yet to receive the login name and password...for a while I just thought they didn't have an online status checker. Think I should call the office? lol
Long story short, either they really don't want us or USC is swamped with apps, but you need to contact their office somehow.

Still complete 1/23 with no movement. I wonder if they will even bother opening my application, or if it will be (or already was...) straight to the shredder
