Hmm, all the T14 schools I've gotten into. I guess I'll never have TLS' approval.cactuarX3 wrote:So far, it seems like TLS hates on NYU, GULC, Cornell and now Berkeley? Re: Berkeley c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I think TLS hates on NYU because they think it's one of the "Wtf is it doing in the Top 6" schools. GULC and Cornell get hated on because they are at the periphery of the T14, which is pretty much like not being in it at all. We seem to not like schools at the end of any made-up list--YOU'RE EITHER IN OR OUT NONE OF THIS BORDERLINE BULLSHIT.
Berkeley gets hated on (now, at least) because it is an awesome school and probably rejected a whole bunch of high scoring TLSers who had grown accustomed to getting their way because of their scores =).
UVA is kind've stupid too now that I think about it. Top 10? That's one spot away from...not being in the Top 10. Ew.

Let's not forget the hate on Harvard for somehow not being as good as uchicago.
Srsly, TLS wisdom boils down to Yale or bust.

I don't think anyone is hating in Berkeley... Just anxious about the cricket noise it lets off

I think Berkeley often gets ignored here simply because TLS is very east coast centric.msblaw89 wrote:I don't think anyone is hating in Berkeley... Just anxious about the cricket noise it lets off

Straight-up dinged.
172/3.8 so somewhat surprised. Seems like my app's been red-flagged for something but I'm just not sure of what it is.
