Re: UVa. Regular Decision
In 20 minutes ago via phone call. Came w/ a $90,000 scholarship. That Cordel Faulk guy was reeealllllyyy nice, really made a great impression for UVA!
Btw, I am OOS, and a while back in this thread (I am too lazy to search), I was told that given my non-Virginia residency, I should give up hope, sit back, and await my inevitable WL. To that person, you can go shove your foot in your mouf, because that's where it belongs.

Ok submitted 9/27 and still "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" since 11/4. The fact that so many people who submitted after me have heard back is making me concerned that my file fell off of a desk into a trash can or something...

Yeah, sometimes I feel that way about mine as well since I have also had the "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" for almost 2 months. You could email and ask when they think they might be reaching a decision on your file (in a nice way). Maybe that would help ease your mind that they have your materials, not sure how helpful that would be.texaskk wrote:Ok submitted 9/27 and still "File Complete, Pending Review/Decision" since 11/4. Re: UVa. Regular Decision
I received a call from UVA around 7 PM today and talked to Mr. Cordel Faulk.
(who, like the previous poster said, was delightful!)
Verdict: Admitted with $75,000 scholarship.
Submit date mid-November. Out of state applicant, both numbers below median. Regular Decision.
Over-joyed by this. =)
Good-luck to those still waiting!

Dear UVA,
How can I book airfare for ASW if you don't admit me? Help a guy out.

Re: UVa. Regular Decision
I was not told about any scholarship over the phone. Those who received scholarships were told over the phone so, at best, negotiating is the only option, I believe. On the other hand, the Dean mentioned that my application had just been finished so I am holding out hope for a miracle.ivantheterbl wrote:If we didn't hear about merit scholarship when we received our call, when might we hear something about it??
