Don't send it in until it's due. Most of the money action happens in April. If you are committed there is no reason to try to recruit you.

I'm pretty sure everyone's been receiving them in separate mailings. I certainly hope they come separately, otherwise I'm SOL on scholly.JJDancer wrote:akili, can you clarify whether you received the scholly letter and general admissions packet as 2 separate mailings?

Nice. That's some fast mail you've got. Our USPS don't get around to delivering my mail until 3ish CST.JJDancer wrote:7K per year plus nonresiden exemption of 48K. Total 69K

For anyone not sure where they want to go yet, it feels like its 70 here today. I'm wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Why is NYU/Columbia even on your list???

Eeek. Was having a very weird day and came home to a UT scholly letter.
Posted 1/24 for those of you still waiting, and I'm out in Cali.
15k per year plus non-res exemption! I feel so incredibly flattered and honored. Holy shamoly. total value is 93k. Um, wowsers. I can't even Imagine that much money. Seriously. wtf? Sort of in shock right now.

Is the status checker accessible with your UT EID, or is it a separate link?

Thanks! and Congrats! Yeah, I definitely feel like this changed the game a bit. Was starting to feel a little overwhelmed by the cycle and getting lost in TLS madness. Now I'm back to feeling really damned lucky

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Ok, good, so it could potentially come a week after admit packet. I was worried when a UT envelope wasn't in the mail today after I received admit packet yesterday.LuBru wrote:$15k/yr scholarship at UT as well! It came in small white envelope about a week after my mangled admission packet. I'm super surprised because my numbers are low. I was starting to wonder if my options would be full ride at TTT or sticker at a top 20... this really helps!
Congrats on the scholly!

Re: Texas 2011 Applicants
Officially freaking out...admit call 1/19, generic accepted letter the 20th or 21st...
...no scholarship envelope in mah mailbox today
Texas, I really like you, but I can't afford sticker price for your school
Edit: Don't mean to sound like a jerk who's entitled to money...it's just it would take some $ for me to consider UT and let's just say I REALLY want to consider them

Wait and see if you get anything. And there is a limit of # of in-state waiver they can give per year I think. So soon as some people withdraw, some may become available and regifted to others.pereira6 wrote:Officially freaking out...admit call 1/19, generic accepted letter the 20th or 21st...
