March 25 asw? I was planning to go, but then thought I wouldnt get nearly as much as UIUC and figured I should save the money. If one or two people here wanna split a hotel room we could do it super cheap.

I think you will be paid for the lodging and transportation up to a certain amount?

I'm thinking I might be down. WUSTL gives $200 for travel expenses, right?

Now that WUSTL has matched GW for me, I'm hesitating between the two. I really think I'd prefer GW but I'm not so sure anymore. ><

I got it in the admitted students email about 4 days after my acceptance email.

They sent an email about the admitted students website maybe a week after the admit email, and that admitted students website email included a line about being given a travel stipend. $200, which isn't much but I'm not complaining.

Took your suggestion. For others with the same question, I have confirmation that:
1. More scholly emails can be expected to come out during February, especially for students who applied/were accepted within the last two weeks.
2. Financial aid/need-based scholarship decisions will be made separately, after the March 1 deadline. Fill out your FAFSA's and WUSTL fin aid forms!

about financial aid/need based........do law schools/govt really give out much at all? i mean i made like 5K this last year w/ no loans to pay off but i imagine a TON of people are in the same situation, we cant all get aid can we?

Let me know which ASW you end up attending. I am pretty sure I am going to make it out there (only thing stopping me is a possible work conflict). I think I have a $200 travel stipend from WUSTL somewhere buried in my email account. I probably should hop on airfare soon.

Congrats to all who have been getting scholarships today. Sounds like WUSTL has been very generous this year.

If WUSTL is a school you are seriously considering, I strongly encourage you to visit. Obviously the two most important factors in choosing a school are the price and the ability of that school to help you achieve your career goals. I would never tell someone to go to WUSTL if it was too expensive and out of line with their career goals. But if WUSTL meets those criteria for you, then you need to pay it a visit. I believe that our school really shines on some of the "soft factors" (things like "fit," the campus, professors, social scene, etc.) and I know WUSTL will compare very favorably to some of the other schools you are considering.

And of course, I expect to get a PM from those of you who I know on TLS about meeting up for a beer (or ten).

Congrats again, and as always, I'm always here for questions or concerns regarding WUSTL or the admissions process.
