That is great, good for you. I need to get some acceptances so I can negotiate.mez06 wrote:Received an email from Admissions after sending in my scholly negotiation email. They said all money has been given out but they will let me know of any additional $$ they can give me BEFORE the April deadline for scholly seat deposits. Anxious to see how early before that will be.

Am I to assume this means that if we were Accepted (1/31) with no notice of scholarship, there isn't going to be any? Above 75th percentile LSAT median GPA here.jdemmitt wrote:That is great, good for you. unless your notification is in the mail I guess. I'm sorry to hear that, but if you get better offers you can still attempt to negotiate so that's goodmcgillgrad10 wrote:Am I to assume this means that if we were Accepted (1/31) with no notice of scholarship, there isn't going to be any? Re: Wake 2011
I'm not really bothered that much, William and Mary would probably be cheaper regardless of any money I could get from Wake, was just curious cause I had expected to hear something / never even got a formal acceptance letter in the mail just an e-mail.Stonewall wrote:unless your notification is in the mai I guess. Re: Wake 2011
So I started a poll last night having to do with larger-medium sized firms in Richmond Va, and a lot of people seem to think that WFU has no influence in the VA market...
I can't help but think that's not completely true.
I know UVA def has first dibs in Richmond, then W&M and W&L, and I've read that URichmond has a great spot in that city, but I find it hard to believe WFU has no presence there...
Maybe I'm just in denial cuz I want to work in Richmond when I graduate...
any thoughts?

Re: Wake 2011
there is no doubt the other schools you mentioned are probably going to get a look before wake, but I would venture to guess there is a WF footprint in Richmond (I have no idea how big). Even geographically speaking they are only two hrs and change apart so I would consider them reasonably closegirlonfire wrote:So I started a poll last night having to do with larger-medium sized firms in Richmond Va, and a lot of people seem to think that WFU has no influence in the VA market...

If you look @ some Richmond firms' web sites you should be able to do a search of the attorneys in the office and where they earned their J.D.

If anyone else is attending the ASW this weekend and staying at the Marriott AND not driving, shoot me a PM if you'd like to split cabs to campus on Fri AM. I'll be getting late on Thursday night.

Also be prepared for the student life panel, have questions ready or it will be short.

A tie is probably unnecessary. Wear Khaki's or dress pants with a button down shirt seems to be the consensus.hurricane10 wrote:so for those of you that already went to ASD.. what did everyone wear? If you wear a tie your acceptance will be rescinded.

Business casual is fine--sports coats and khakis were everywhere. The admitted students were actually more dressed up than the attending students when I visited last week.hurricane10 wrote:so for those of you that already went to ASD.. what did everyone wear? Are there any admitted students that are still undecided about Wake? I was waitlisted and I am just trying to gauge my chances of coming off the waitlist! Congrats to all, btw.

I am and I know that there are several other individuals as well. At the ASD quite a few said they were holding out to hear from others, as am I. Even with the generous scholarship offer, I am not sure that I want to take on that much debt. Who knows though.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
