Yes they mailed, at least late in the cycle.

So, apparently it's POSSIBLE this is a mixed bag of decisions. Still though, it seems like acceptances always come first (side note: none of this applies to me, since I went UR today

)

So, did anyone that applied ED get a status change?

I just received notification from NYU today that they didn't receive my signed letter committing myself to ED. I'm 100% sure I mailed it in, so I'm super worried about what that will mean for me getting accepted. They did say I can still mail it in. Has anyone ever heard of something like this happening??? I'd give them a call, but their office is closed for the day (couldn't check email until late).

Has anyone actually received anything in the mail yet? AHHHH...I really hope these are acceptances. This is slow torture.

Of course they are acceptances. Look at the numbers. they'd be out of their minds if they are not ...

I don't care if he's a URM or not, he's still the first person with a November UR date.

I think URMs get reviewed differently, not in the general queue.

Yeah, and they would probably take the slam-dunks first. Just sayin...
(It's a lot easier for me, since I KNOW I'm not getting a decision letter sent in the next few days)
