Oh my god, last year all of DFW was shut down due to the snow storm.theugg wrote:Houston. We don't have seasons here, other than hot, cold, and rainy. Dallas has much more normal seasons. And occasionally, snow!
But at least we don't have to deal with hurricanes :p

It's not too late to repent from your heathen Houston ways!theugg wrote:I lived in Dallas until I was 18 and I definitely prefer it, so I'm a bit jealous.

Yeah, it's for the school-related c&f issue, not the criminal c&f portion. I agree that Columbia is unclear about what they're asking for, but I interpret the fact that they ask for a Dean's letter right in the c&f question as a request to have it sent in prior to admission. I just submitted to Columbia yesterday so I don't yet know if my application is complete without it.Generally wrote:I haven't sent any in, and I thought that was only before enrolling that schools need them. Seems heaps of people of got into Duke without submitting one... I am thoroughly confused.maracuya wrote: Columbia, NYU, and Duke all require it (according to their applications) prior to acceptance. Duke emailed me requesting it, and NYU's app has a specific request on the application as well.
Edit: You didn't clarify, but clearly this is a c&f issue yes?
From Columbia,
Are there any instances in which I need to submit a dean’s certification with my initial application?
Yes. If you have been subject to disciplinary censure by any educational institution you attended or if there are any disciplinary charges pending against you, then you will need to submit a dean’s certification
But yeah, most schools only need it upon enrolling. It seems like such a hassle for everyone to have this sent in prior to admission.
