Re: UC Hastings 2010!!!
Ok, first of all, sorry (or for some) conrats on the WLs. I am so confused right now. My numbers are 2.75 / 169. I went complete in early January. I assumed I would be waitlisted or maybe, because of a risky make or break personal statement, get in. The fact that I have been passed over on the batches of WLs, acceptances, and rejections sent has me perplexed. In your opinions, is this a good sign, or just another unexplainable phenomenon of the law school application cycle?
Thanks. I probably wouldnt be so worried if I had been accepted ANYWHERE....

Keep hope alive. Two years ago they were accepting people late into March and a couple in early April.
At least that's what I cling to at thing point.

This is my first post and a sad one. Rejected via mail 164/3.2. Can't say I'm surprised given the way the cycle has been but couldn't help but be hopeful nonetheless.

I was planning on April, but the waiting is making me quite anxious. So, I'm driving up from LA on Friday. I will most definitely update you on the experience.

I was also waitlisted at UC Hastings... 167, 3.55
I was surprised to hear this, I have had a perfect cycle before this minor blemish... into schools like Boston, Emory, ND, and Fordham so I was not planning on attending Hastings anyway, but still surprising to get this response from this school... ah well. Good luck to all!

Shoot. I was happy I survived the WL shotgun blast. But not anymore...finalaspects wrote:so according to LSN... hastings stopped accepting people on the 13th of march (not counting waitlisted then accepted). that sucks... it was all rejections/waitlists after that pretty much. one URM/outlier acceptance on the 28th....

I'm also going. I have a feeling it's going to be one of those "everybody in the table laughs and is congenial to one another trying to be interested in what they have to say" sticky situations. But I'd rather be in that sort of table rather than pretending to be too busy enjoying the general atmosphere when I'm actually standing around eating by myself waiting for 2 hours to pass. I mean what more do we have to know about Hastings when most of us going to the reception (enduring traffic under the recent heat wave oh god) have the school as one of our top choices already?elmeromero wrote:I'm going. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty surprised. Luckily, I'm going to GW. I was born and raised in Nor Cal though so I'm a little bummed.Borhas wrote:that's harsh, sorry to hear thatearlgrey wrote:i was also waitlisted today. complete since Dec. 168 3.3

Not to sound self-serving when I ask this, but if you're not planning to attend Hastings, are you planning to withdraw?mjrogers15 wrote:I was also waitlisted at UC Hastings... 167, 3.55

I've personally already WD'ed from all my safeties with the exception of 3 others.
