Current Status: Application Ready for Review
Current Status Date: 1/13/2010
Decision Status: Decision Pending
Decision Status Date: 1/15/2010
Nothing since that...

That mean I'm on hold? Or that I'm in review?

From what people have been saying, any switch to DP means you'll get a WL or rejection in March...what are your numbers?

166, crap GPA.

I wouldn't be at all shocked by a WL.

Just noticed "admit packet mailed" under mailings. Pretty excited! If I'm awarded a merit scholarship will that info be included in the admit packet?

People don't know what they're talking about. The status checker tells you all you need to know about the timing of decisions.

You will know if you were admitted if, under the "mailings" section, it says something along the lines of "Congrats, admit packet mailed XX/XX"

Not immediately though. Mine took about a day to show up correctly.

Last year, almost all WL / rejects went out in March, and acceptances generally come within 6 weeks of applying.

Jumped the gun a bit, Decision Pending not DR. I'll continue to wait patiently. I have been impressed with the speed with which WM has worked thus far.

My numbers are 3.37, 168 and I am currently under DP status. Is anyone else with similar numbers in the same boat?

GPA is similar (3.4), 171 LSAT and I've been decision pending since 11/2. I'm a little surprised...I thought my numbers for W & M were at least competitive and I wrote the optional essays, but looking at LSN, it doesn't look good to have been waiting this long :(

I would be very surprised if you didn't get in. If you don't it's yield protection. Maybe send a LOCI?

I just decided this week to pull the trigger and send in my ED form to UVA. If I don't get in ED then I will definitely be sending a LOCI to W&M. Outside of UVA, they are probably my top choice, so the wait has been a little frustrating (though considering that I've heard from most of my other schools, I guess I shouldn't be complaining)

are there lots of applicants out there who have been stuck on decision pending for well over a month?

looking at lsn, it seems like w&m is making quick decisions on admits. is it safe to assume the majority of us who fail to qualify as a quick admit will end up on the waitlist come march?

After looking at your LSN, are you really telling me you would take W&M over Penn and Cornell? Not saying you're wrong for that decision, but what factors are contributing to that?

Perhaps I should have qualified my original statement a bit more. I don't think I could justify paying sticker for W&M over Penn or Cornell, but if there was money involved, then yes I would probably choose them over the others. A lot of this comes down to environment. I think Ithaca's long winters and Philly's distractions would not present the most ideal environments for me. I know my weaknesses and I want to spend three years where I think I will be happiest.

Without a full-ride + COL stipend + sex slave I would NEVER take W&M over Penn.
