My interview is today and I'm kinda nervous! Never did a skype interview before, just one of those one sided video ones.

There's only been a handful of RD admits since apps opened.EinassA wrote:Same question as above! RD fyi. Been UR1 since 12/12armc808 wrote:Finally went UR1 today after being stuck at complete since 11/30. How long has the average wait been so far from UR1 to decision?

I just did mine and it was super chill. Just simple questions like why law and how do you see your legal career unfolding over the next few years. And then I asked all my Duke questionsKeilz wrote:My interview is today and I'm kinda nervous! Never did a skype interview before, just one of those one sided video ones.

What sorts of Duke Questions have you and others asked in the scholarship interview?Baby Gaga wrote:I just did mine and it was super chill. I'm interested in 2 specific areas in law so I had questions about what duke does there (clinics etc) . I'm also international so I had some questions there too.EMPS2020 wrote:What sorts of Duke Questions have you and others asked in the scholarship interview?Baby Gaga wrote:I just did mine and it was super chill. Remember to look in the camera and not on your screen. This helped me in my interviews because you can't really make eye contact while looking in the camera, which eases the stress a bit. Good luck!Keilz wrote:My interview is today and I'm kinda nervous! Never did a skype interview before, just one of those one sided video ones.

My priority track application is now under review. So nervous, it's gonna be my first result back for the cycle (and for a law school ever).

I would wait to see what they offer you. Who knows they might offer more than "X school". I think it is reasonable to respond after the offer and let them know what x school offered and say that you prefer Duke but it is hard to pass up more money.notorious_mig wrote:Is there a tasteful way to say during the interview "X school (ranked higher than Duke) offered me X amount of money" or?????????? When's the ideal time to send in a LOCI? Later or earlier?

Did anyone receive a confirmation for the skype interview the day or a few days before it occurred? I have not received one yet and I registered for it back in early December so am getting a little nervous.

I didn't at all. I just got a skype call at the appointed time (like 5 minutes late)EMPS2020 wrote:Did anyone receive a confirmation for the skype interview the day or a few days before it occurred? Don't know if you were going to, but I'd advise against saying anything regarding ranks.notorious_mig wrote:Is there a tasteful way to say during the interview "X school (ranked higher than Duke) offered me X amount of money" or?????????? Asking 4 a friend ofc

Just had my skype interview which actually turned into a phone interview because our connection did not work... ugh. I thought I would post the questions I was asked since I haven't seen too many responses about that.
Why law?
What was your favorite class in undergrad?
If you could redo your undergrad experience, what would you do differently?
Is there anything you think the financial aid committee should know about you that is not apparent in your application?

Is anyone writing a thank you email for the skype interview for financial aid/scholarship?
