Meet my sad timeline, guys.

App sent: 10/24
Complete: 10/27
CR1: 12/23
CR2: 1/11
CR2 AGAIN: 2/3
Final Review: 3/23

I, at one point, forgot that I had even applied. I got so burned out by checking the tracker.

I agree, but the clerkship numbers are the factor right now that has me considering it over UCLA and USC if I were to end up in LA.

Just wanted to say thanks for the link, and there's an updated one for 2012-2014 if you're interested: http://excessofdemocracy.com/blog/2015/ ... -2012-2014

Additionally, I should have an update for 2013-2015 next month after the employment data is released.

Many thanks, Professor Muller!! Can't tell you how helpful of a resource this is for someone like me looking at fairly equally-ranked schools and hoping for a clerkship.

Hi Everyone,

I had a quick question and wondering if anyone could lend some insight. After 2 months I went into Committee First Read and then only two days later I went into Final Review.

Does anyone know if this is an indication of bad news to come or is it completely unnecessary for me to stress over this?

Thanks!

Anybody have a rough estimate of how long between "Decision Finalized" and the ding in the mail? I've been DF for a week now and still no email or mailing. I'm confident that it's a no, since it seems like most people got their email within 24 hours of DF, but I guess I assumed I would have gotten the ding in the mail by now, especially since I have a CA address.

Still complete... Only better options are T14 waitlists. Haven't heard back anywhere 14-20 besides Iowa.Very similar complete date to someone who posted above.

I am still complete as of 2/3. I spoke with the assistant director of admissions and was told that the final review on open applications could be as late as the end of May.

On USC's website, it says" The priority deadline to apply for the incoming 1L class is February 1st of each year and applications received by that date will receive priority review for both admission and scholarships. "

I'm still sitting at COMPLETE as of Jan.29. Hmmm, USC, why am I not feeling the "priority" here? Just take me in, please :!:

Got you by over 20 days. I find this as ridiculous as you do.

News for all my fellow 3/23 final review folks - on the status checker, it popped up

Requirements List
Status Item
1st Seat Deposit
2nd Seat Deposit
Final Transcript

It still says I'm in final review, but at every other school this has popped up, I've been accepted. Just something to be on the lookout for, for folks who tend to check the top line and nothing else.

Decision finalized, no checklist. Probably bad news.

It's mostly Californians in here, but anyone else leaning toward Notre Dame over USC? Their employment and clerk stats are better, and they upped my scholly to be a full ride, so... I'm not as excited as I could be over this acceptance. Considering it took them this long to decide on me, I doubt they'll give me a full ride. And I'm not from California and couldn't care less about living there. I think unless Chicago miraculously accepts me after my interview, I'm probably going to ND over USC.

If you want to work in CA then go to USC. If you want to work in the midwest then go to ND. USC is peer to UCLA and places just as equal into biglaw if that's your goal. I think if you want a judicial clerkship and perform well at USC you'd be able to get one from what I've heard.
