For future reference, there's a search bar at the top that you can use to look within the thread.
A search for "optional" would reveal the answer to your question. I don't mean to be snippy or anything, I'd just rather we didn't have to reinvent the wheel a thousand times over the next few months.

That being said, yeah, my understanding is that most of the people ITT wrote the "Why Law and Why Duke" optional essay.

I'm under review too, and I went complete on 9/8.
It is ironic, because just one day ago I solicited PT and Robin said he had transferred my request to the Director.
