Did you interview? And I could be wrong, but wasn't Why Cornell only a few sentences on the app?
Nope, not even a robot interview. There might have been a few sentences, I honestly don't remember. Will probably ride it out just cause, though I don't think I'd go there. Does anyone know if the reserve list moves much?

Depends. Are you priority reserve or straight reserve/waitlist?

FWIW, I don't know what the process is this year but last year there was both a PR and simply a reserve.

Ummm not sure. It doesn't sound like waitlist: "Our several-hundred-person reserve group (of which you are now a part) helps us keep in line with these target levels. Then, later in the season after we've begun to hear back from people already accepted (usually late May), we decide if further offers are appropriate. If so, we review the files of all reserve applicants and make additional offers. At that point, we also create our official waiting list."

GPA/LSAT are slightly fudged but undergrad institution is the same...I'm confused
Guessing it's this one then?

Lol sorry for being such a creep. But is this like your second application cycle or something? If not that's a crazy coincidence. The other profile also says attending Chicago though. Weirdness.

Edit: Sorry for all the edits/additional posts, but here's a thought. Assuming that is your profile and this is your second cycle, I see that you were accepted to Cornell and Michigan last year with money, and yet obviously you didn't matriculate. I'm guessing they're rejecting you this year because you rejected them last year (not out of spite, but why would you go this year if you didn't last year with cash?) Again, just a thought.
lol, you got it. I decided not to attend UChi and reapply with a slightly better LSAT. I'm sure you're right (the same thing happened with UM), it's just strange that they wouldn't even WL me.

It's incredibly frustrating though. Cornell with money (even with the same money I got last year) was one of, if not the top choice for me.

Ahh the fact that you turned them town last year was probably a large factor in your rejection :(

Reserved as well.

Kind of shocked. Cornell is a BIG reach for me (GPA<<<<<<<<25%, 25%<LSAT>50%)

Does anyone have any idea if anyone actually gets accepted from Reserve?

Longtime lurker, first time poster.
Admitted yesterday! Was expecting to go through a few more URs; only had 2, which seems odd.

For the robot interview, I'm assuming you just do it at any time you feel like it within the three weeks? There's no scheduling or anything involved, right?

Yep, you just make an account, do a test run on your equipment, then you can do the real thing whenever you feel like it..

I went through four complete dates before the interview invite. The first to the last was around three weeks.

Can someone answer whether this is reserve(/wl) or "priority" reserve?

"Our several-hundred-person reserve group (of which you are now a part) helps us keep in line with these target levels. future!jd12 wrote:Accepted via email! GPA <25% and LSAT >>> 75%. I think I may have messed up though. On my application I put that I would not be applying for financial aid (i thought it was referring only to need based). Am I SOL for merit based scholarships?
They say on their website that admissions decisions are made without regard to need for financial aid. I would just send them an email, you should be fine. Their deadline to apply for financial aid isn't until March 1st, I believe.

Finally some movement!!!!

Submitted 1/7
Complete 1/30
Status change 2/19

LSAT > 75%
GPA > 75%

I was starting to get worried that my app contained an error. :?

Anyone know why they'd put me on reserve with a 163 3.5? Non-URM with strong softs and unique backgroud. I was under the impression the reserve was to keep applicants with decent/high numbers as back ups in case their medians were getting low, so I'm confused as to why they'd keep an applicant like me on it.

This is correct.
Thank you Lavitz.

Tried to do the LikeLive interview. Camera works fine during the test, but I get a black screen during the real one. Is this normal? I figured I would be able to see myself, like in the test.

Regardless, I assumed my camera or my plugins weren't working properly, so I refreshed the page. This effectively closed my interview, and now I can't record again. I requested a submission redo, which I'm sure I will get, but this whole thing is such a headache.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
