Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I briefly looked for a c/o 2018 FB page and didn't find one. I would join one, but I'm thinking it'll be fairly sparse in members until January/February.
I'll plan on staying until Sunday and hopefully we can get a TLS meetup Saturday night or something.

Usually a month or so after being admitted. Maybe closer to six weeks. Unless you are at/above both 75ths. Those people were getting full rides pretty soon after acceptance.Dipper wrote:In via email!

What constitutes a full ride? As in, how much is a full ride over three years?Winston1984 wrote:Usually a month or so after being admitted. Maybe closer to six weeks. Unless you are at/above both 75ths. Those people were getting full rides pretty soon after acceptance.Dipper wrote:In via email!

I'm going to venture that you're the guy who interviews and has to wait for the adcomms to spend the holidays with their families instead of at work. Those monsters.JLM268 wrote:Had my interview the 17th am I the guy who interviews and doesn't get in

I interviewed earlier than that. It's been about 4 weeks for me. Hopefully I'm not the first interviewee who gets dinged.JLM268 wrote:Had my interview the 17th am I the guy who interviews and doesn't get in

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
I have a question for the current students -- sorry if this has been asked before. Whats the deal with housing? Is there on-campus or student housing, and if so where is it and how much does it cost? If not, are there university resources to look into off-campus housing, or should I just be looking at general sites like Craigslist/etc? The admissions site lists $14,400 as room/board, but I'm not sure what kind of housing that is referring to. If anyone could point me in the direction to find this information it would be much appreciated! Thanks.

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
There is university owned housing available for law students, but I don't know of anyone who lives there. Could easily be wrong, this is just out of the people I know. Don't know the exact cost, but it's comparable to other housing in the area. A large chunk of students live in an area called The Loop, or an area called Central West End (CWE), but plenty of people live plenty of other places. There is a more detailed breakdown of some of the neighborhoods a few pages back itt.hearsay77 wrote:I have a question for the current students -- sorry if this has been asked before. The school does provide a couple resources for housing, but they come later in the spring. They have a couple housing days, where they invite incoming students to come to STL, and they bus you around and show you some of the university owned housing, and some of the other popular neighborhoods for law students. They also had a "housing concierge" last year that would go check out apartments you are considering, take pictures, ask any questions you want asked, etc. I'm assuming they will make that available again this year but I don't know for sure.
If I missed anything, feel free to ask here or PM me or another current student. I found the admissions people to be helpful with housing questions last year too as far as pointing me in some areas to look.
Edit: the 14,400 number is a gross overestimate unless you live a lot more lavishly than need be. Keep in mind those estimates are supposed to be for 9 months, not 12.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
