This is driving me insane right now. Georgetown is my number one but I just found out last week that I have full tuition at my number two choice. So now just to wait.smccgrey wrote:I don't think GULC makes any moves on $$ until after FAFSA stuff happens.johmica wrote:What do you think "a while" will be. So ASW is not an indication that you've been admitted?tincan678 wrote:Do not e-mail them unless you've been waiting for a long period of time. Getting a username and password probably does not indicate acceptance-- I requested a username/password right after my group interview and I got one-- there is no way I got accepted that quickly.smccgrey wrote:Has anyone emailed them? There's a link on this page that says:FWIW I logged into the site without any issues and was able to change my username and password. If you experience difficulties with this form, please contact us.
ETA - The email with your initial username and password should also say:Please contact the Georgetown Law Office of Admissions at (202) 662-9010 or admis@law.georgetown.edu if you need further assistance.
Have patience, annoying the admissions people won't help you.

thx and congrats on your acceptance~smccgrey wrote:it is, but it should let you actually log in to the website. Some people have been able to get passwords but can't log in, and they're in limbo because no one knows what it means.niplomo wrote: So ASW is not an indication that you've been admitted?

For those of you getting the invalid password message (like me), it appears this has happened in past years, and I think reading through this made me feel better:

Was able to retrieve username/password for ASW but get an error message when I try logging in. So frustrating...

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
I just got into the FT program via snail mail dated Dec 8 (and I live in DC). To be fair, I'm not diligent about checking my (real) mailbox. As a note, my status checker still says Application Complete and I've received no email.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Yeah. I received my letter yesterday, it was postmarked on the day that I was able to generate a username/password (which didn't work for close to a week). So it seems that if you are able to create an account, even if it doesn't actually work, you are admitted.tincan678 wrote:Just got into the ASW. I guess the username/ password email means you're probably in. The website just takes about a week to actually work.

For those who have gotten a decision in the past week, when did you go complete?

If you enroll they'll need an official transcript issued by your school; right now they just have a copy of your LSAC report.schmelling wrote:Why would you need to send another transcript if you already graduated? Also isn't the certification only for those who had c&f issues?smccgrey wrote:My SC now shows the requirements as final UG transcript and certification form. I guess they get around to updating everyone's eventually!
(ASW explains that everyone needs to send these in by May 15 or something)

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Does anyone happen to know when to expect the first slaughter (i.e. the day of the ding)? I did see where a few rejections went out a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen any reported rejections since. I applied on 9/15, and fully expect to be rejected at this point, but I'm not sure why they wouldn't have just gotten it over with when the first rejections went out.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
