does Yale normally make decisions in order as far as complete date goes, or is there really no rhyme or reason at all? Pretty sure I went complete in early Jan and haven't heard anything yet

condolences to all the recent dings... pretty sure you could assemble a great 1L class from those rejection stats alone

Things go roughly in order, but auto admits/rejects throw it off, as do profs who read files at different speeds.residentemma wrote:condolences to all the recent dings... pretty sure you could assemble a great 1L class from those rejection stats alone

Sorry to hear about the other dings!
Dinged via email at 11ish EST. LSAT>25th GPA<25th. Looking back I'm not sure what I was thinking when I sent in my Yale Mary. I think maybe I just really wanted to use my 250, because I love my 250. I really don't mind this ding at all. I'm one of those crazy people that didn't have Y as my top choice. I'm in at my second choice and still waiting on my top, Harvard, which would be the only ding I'd take poorly. Good luck to those still in the running!

Dinged as expected. But you never know unless you try, right? Feel kind of silly posting my stats after seeing what amazing states were dinged but GPA is 4.1+, LSAT below median.

Ding--by email this morning like everybody else.
176/3.7 URM (ma), strong work experience for two years and slightly above average softs in undergrad.
January 5 submit, complete sometime shortly after.
At least I can move on now--thank god it's not the waitlist!

Should we anticipate daily bloodbaths from YLS all week, based on their Twitter comment/previous years?

Let's do that. We'll open a competing campus in New Haven called "Dumb Yale" and offer all the same classes as Yale. (+1 if you get the reference).residentemma wrote:condolences to all the recent dings... pretty sure you could assemble a great 1L class from those rejection stats alone![]()

someone convince me that it's worth the effort to write my 250 and apply before the deadline.

A couple of my colleagues both admitted that they wrote their 250 a few hours before the deadline, they both got in and neither expected it. If the money isn't an issue, give it a shot.t-14orbust wrote:someone convince me that it's worth the effort to write my 250 and apply before the deadline.
