But NA is also performing a service for you. Absent a standardized methodology, each LS/grad program would have different forms and documents to complete -- as they used to do in the dark ages. If you are applying to multiple schools that require parental info, NA is a pretty good deal, IMO.

As an example, UVA used to require its own electronic forms for undergrad finaid. It was a royal PIA, since their server was not only slow, but kept freezing, requiring a new log-in sequence. But their finaid app was 'free'. Now, UVa has joined with many other undergrad colleges and uses CollegeBoard's Profile. It may cost $9.00 for processing, but well worth it.

I actually called yesterday and asked if I had to include parental info even though I will be 29 at matriculation. Got a very curt "yes" and that was all. Their whole FA process is such a turn off.

I imagine working in FA is like working at the DMV so I cut everyone a little slack

Has anyone received a decision after going under review just once?
Applied Early December and went under review 1/18, expecting to hear back probably beginning of March, but wish it was sooner.

I did, went under review 11/28, decision rendered 1/8.

Nope. I actually haven't received any confirmation from them at all concerning my FAFSA or Need Access.

So I got decision rendered today finally.. It said I would receive a letter in the mail. Does anyone know what that means? I thought they were doing all decisions by email at this point in the cycle?

Can someone who got in or was wl or rejected let me know if they got the message at the top that said they would be receiving something in the mail? I know the first batch of acceptances saw this notice in December but maybe everyone sees it regardless of the results? Thanks. I haven't gotten any emails yet.. Nervous

AlanShore, shortly after the status update (decision rendered), I got an acceptance email although the message at the top said they would send me a postal mail.

Rooting for you! Hope it's a good news

FYI: I was accepted on 1/25.

Does a rejection or wl also say that? Can someone weigh in? How long does it take them to send an email lol. This is so cruel guys. I have been waiting since October..

I got in last week and had that message at the top also! I received an email within the hour and got the admission packet in the mail 2 days later. Good luck!
