I started out with a good scholarship but negotiated it up to a full ride. The dean of admissions is very nice and accessible. As long as you good have scholarships from t-14s it shouldn't be a problem.
That's impressive. Do you mind saying your #s?

I believe proper Shakespearean English would be "Where goest thou?" The "are you ___ing" combination is a relatively recent replacement.

If you're going to lecture at least do it properly. There is no such thing as Shakespearean English. Shakespeare wrote in a form of early modern English, that is classified more specifically as Elizabethan English. Furthermore, "where" would not be used, but rather "wither."
Yes, this is the kind of useless information we learn as English majors, and this is why our degrees lead to jobs paying 40k a year. It's wonderful.

"Shakespearean" was meant to be descriptive, not proper. Is that true about "where?" Wither thou goest? Never "Where goest thou?" "Wither goest thou" doesn't seem right.

But seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed and would read again. Whack-a-pedant is my favorite sport.

I think the game is just called "Top Pedant." But let's talk language. This "do you think I can get my scholarship from 61.5k to a round 62?" stuff is boring.

We are currently in the process of collecting statistics for our 2012 class and we expect to post them on our website by the middle of March (we will notify you as soon as they are available). However, we are pleased to note that the number of graduates finding full-time, long term positions that require admission to the bar (including those going to the largest law firms) has increased significantly.

So...
1) Am I basically ineligible for need-based aid for my 1L year because of getting accepted after the deadline?
2) When will merit-based scholarship offers be made? What have you admits been seeing? A week after admission? Two weeks? A month? USC came back at me the next day! Hoping for similar love

I was admitted before the deadline but completely forgot (after submitting my FAFSA early) about the NeedAccess. Filled it out a few days late and was entirely paranoid about getting no need-based money, but the turn around was super quick and I got a sizable amount that stacks nicely with a scholly.

Is just submission of the NeedAccess all that is needed (as in no other UCLA specific forms)? Did they let you know about merit and need-based by email?

Yes to everything, as well as FAFSA.

That's interesting. UCLA was super quick with me. Got my aid package a week or so after I was admitted. But also submitted my fafsa in late Jan.

Do what I did and e-mail asking if there's anything else you need to do. That'll get you on their radar at least. I got my offer like the next day.

I submitted mine early/mid Feb. Heard back from NYU a week later. Just sent off an email inquiring as to what's up, because I'd really like to attend UCLA given the chance- just can't do it without aid.
