I really hope that those of us interviewed Tuesday hear back before these next two weeks of interviews, but realistically I agree that it probably won't be till the end of December...

I think that there's a good shot that some (hopefully all!) Tuesday interviewees will get JS2s early next week. Two years ago--that was the case, and JS said somewhere that this cycle would, in timing, resemble two years ago.

What have been done about wearing headphones when skype interviewing? I prefer to, it helps me hear them better, but I'm not sure what' kosher.

I probably wouldn't do this, as you want your interview to be as professional as possible. Being over Skype I wanted to make especially sure that it was as normal as possible since talking over video is awkward enough. But that's just my opinion!

Well they most likely won't be doing JS2s the week of 12/10 when they are doing a bunch of interviews. It makes more sense that they would wait and do the JS2s after the 2 straight weeks of interviewing.

Also, 12/17 fits in line with last year's timeline in terms of December admits.

So I was planning on using my headset (earbuds with mic) for better sound quality on both sides (and since they recommended an external microphone)- do you think this is unprofessional? Would it be better to just use built in equipment?

I did just fine in my interview without an external microphone, and without headphones. But I do have a newer computer, and I tested it out beforehand to make sure that would work.

Maybe it's not quite unprofessional, and this is just my opinion, but I just think it would look better without headphones. Maybe I'm wrong though and it won't matter. The most important thing to worry about is just being confident and personable in your interview, whatever that takes for you individually.

Maybe we're just at the cusp of JS1's? (I'm low 170s - but hoepfully the rest of my app makes up for it!)
I mean how long can they keep getting people above the median LSAT?
The whole idea of the median is that 50% of people are below it...

It is foolish to get discouraged this early. It's still November. A lot of us are probably in for the long haul. Just gotta keep things in perspective.

It's hard to tell how long they can get people with at or above median. I am sure if they start having to dip below LSAT median they'll start grabbing above median GPAs to make up for the -1 or -2 to the LSAT. We'll just have to wait to see what happens.

Hopefully we get those JS1 emails soon... I'm esp rooting for you, helix, since we're practically numbers twins but also because your avatar is fantastic

Got a JS1 invite today. Complete via status checker on Monday (11/26), complete e-mail today at 7:30 am (PST), JS1 e-mail at 10:30 am. Pretty excited! Numbers are 174/4.0+. Good luck to everyone waiting!

I submitted on the 12th (complete 11/20) and haven't gotten a JS1 yet either, so we can be holdouts together.

No. A bunch of people who got JS1s these past few days submitted back in September and went complete on 10/10. They were then passed over in the first three batches of JS1s, even while people with later complete dates received invites. It's just that there are too many good applicants to be able to invite all of them as their apps go complete.

Be patient, and if your app is competitive, your time will come.
