Idk. I've been under review since the day after I submitted. Seems like they're getting a jump on the apps. Plus idk how many ED2 applicants there were since its a new thing. I'm hoping for acceptances to roll out soon.wetalkinboutpractice wrote:I think that depends on if the ED2 acceptances come out in batches or trickle out gradually. They'll likely want to evaluate the entire ED2 pool before offering acceptances, and some applicants didn't complete their application until the January 7th deadline (like me!), which might slow things down considerably.Mr. Frodo wrote:Congrats to all the new admits.
When should we expect decisions for ED2 applicants? Deadline is 1/31 but should we expect decisions considerably earlier than that?

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, but for those that got the call, what was it like? Did they ask you questions or just basically tell you you're in? Thanks.

Between Penn and UVA, I've figured out that I don't like receiving calls for admission because I find myself babbling and sounding like an idiot.KanyeShrug wrote:I'm not sure if this was already mentioned, but for those that got the call, what was it like? Anywho, she called once and I picked up and said hello a few times and there was no one there so I ended the call. She called back a few seconds later and said she was the Dean of the U. Of Pennsylvania and wanted to congratulate me on being admitted to the school. And then I babbled a bit, halfway between tears and screaming, and she said this was the favorite part of her job. Then I babbled some more.

Waitlisted this afternoon. I consider it somewhat of a victory with my numbers. Will definitely ride it out because I like Penn. A LOT.
Eta: I was RD, UCR1 11/20 and UCR2 1/2. I'm on LSN, numbers are slightly fudged (but close). Will update when my cycle is over if anyone still cares then.
For people who scream "NUMBeRzZz!" when people are wallowing in their ding/waitlist misery, just check LSN. That will give you a good sense of where you stand.
And no, I no mad, I just feel for other people who get asked that instantly.

Wait-listed today and I feel the same way - at 164/3.97 (and I retook the LSAT and didn't improve the second time, which I think really hurt me) I'm pretty glad not to have been rejected. I LOVE Penn so I'll be waiting it out as well!BigZuck wrote:Waitlisted this afternoon. I consider it somewhat of a victory with my numbers. Will definitely ride it out because I like Penn. A LOT.

I'm not familiar with all the lingo... what are YP and soft rejections? I assume these are different "types" of wait-lists. I was wait-listed today with 164/3.97. Which would I probably fall under?francesfarmer wrote:Makes me think WL (YP for those with good GPAs, soft rejection for those without).
Don't let me rain on any parades though.

Yes. I applied in September but retook the LSAT in October. (And didn't improve, which probably doesn't help me...)Mr. Frodo wrote:Were you Regular Decision?dpm54 wrote:I'm not familiar with all the lingo... what are YP and soft rejections?
