This is probably foolishly optimistic, but the fact that the new JS1 was scheduled for Friday makes me more hopeful for JS2s tomorrow. The KB1s that went out yesterday had a one day turnaround. Two day turnaround today could mean that they're leaving tomorrow open.

Interesting idea, but it sounds like you're justifying optimism to yourself (which I'm totally ok with).

Well, we don't know for sure that there are no interviews tomorrow, but at any rate there doesn't seem to be a huge stream of JS1, which would kind of leave open the possibily of mixed JS1/JS2 days. They'll a bit of time to spare for us, right?

Come on guys, your KB/JS2s are just a matter of time. At least this gives people in my position hope for a Friday KB/JS1!

Oh, and congrats! I'm also from Canada/low LSAT/high GPA!

Every time I convince myself to give up all hope, I see something like this and it starts to come back. This isn't healthy.

It's interesting that they seem to be interviewing all kinds of applicants: high gpa/low lsat, high lsat/low gpa.

Also, maybe the JS1 on Friday is a JS1/2 combined, and it'll just be part of the calls on Thursday and Friday for JS/KB2s...

JS. And yes, to be clear, received the email at 2:02 pm today, interview is scheduled for Friday.

the optimist in me is saying "Maybe JS has made a decision on those she interviewed last week and will contact them tomorrow" But the realist in me just punched the optimist in the face.

Yea. This staggered JS1 stream without earlier JS2s is very disconcerting.

Perhaps people are deferring? I can't imagine so many people having poor interviews...

I don't think the interview questions are formal enough to judge any performance as "poor"...
besides she doesn't dig deep into the questions

most (like 90%) of the interview invites have gone out to people with high GPAs thats really the only clear pattern here

I actually think the fact that J.S is back is good..it means some decisions have been made, now KB can use this time to work on 'finalizing' her own list.

Any chance for yesterday's KB1's to get KB2's today? And are we thinking that if someone got the phone call at this point it's pretty much automatic so long as they said they would go to Harvard if accepted

At this point we are not even sure people who had interviews last week are going to be be called any time soon...so I'm going to say no...I doubt people who had KB1's yesterday will get called today (BUT I MAY BE VERY WRONG).... and we won't know if getting a JS1/KB1 means you are in until the JS2/kb2s start coming out...this cycle is out of wack

Just wanted to update after my JS1. It was supposed to be a KB1, but then they changed their minds (emailed me and told me JS would do the interview). It was yesterday afternoon. JS was really nice, like everyone else has been saying. Standard questions for me: why law, why harvard, would you go if admitted (my yes was so enthusiastic that I'm afraid she may think the lady protested too much) where did you deposit. She had a really good, helpful answer to my question, which was related to a specific interest of mine. Without my asking she told me that they hope to have the class finished within a week. Whole thing lasted 7-8 min, 2-3 min on my question.

I felt really good right after the interview, but since then I've been over-analyzing my performance like crazy. Fingers crossed for an acceptance today or tomorrow (one day turn-around on the interview, why not a one day turn-around on the response?)...but at the same time, just trying to pretend this interview never happened and go back to getting jazzed up for three years at Columbia. That way if I get in, it will be a pleasant surprise.

lol your screen name is the day you had your KB1....the reason why we are bit skeptical is because KB told people they will hear back within a week...not THIS week. And we have had many days when we thought they were releasing JS2s but they didn't. people don't want to get their hopes up.
