Not to freak anybody out, but I got an email confirmation. PM if you want details, I don't check this thread very often.

I did not get a confirmation, so I called a week and a half later just to confirm (with a few days left just in case), and they did in fact confirm they had received it. Therefore in my case, no confirmation until I checked with them.

I'm definitely going to stay on the WL and ride it out. BC is my top choice, and I wouldn't mind losing my deposit at Northeastern if it means getting in. I'm sure this has been asked a million times, so I'll go ahead and make it a million-one, but how many/when does BC usually notify those accepted off of the WL about admission.
I'm in the same exact boat as you, hoping to hear before the May 1st deadline at Northeastern but that is unlikely. Unfortunately for me, I did not get any money from Northeastern so I would have nothing to lose if I get off the BC WL.

Hello future BC Law classmates. Applied late and just got in. I'm glad I didn't discover this forum until now otherwise I would have been much more neurotic than I was already about this process. I look forward to meeting you all and good luck to all those on the waitlist.

Anybody else get a message this morning asking if you would like to be removed from the waitlist?

I got an email confirming my "continued interest in remaining on the wait list." It seemed a little out of left field although I sent a LOCI about 1.5 weeks ago, so maybe it was in response to that (even though they already confirmed by email that it was added to my file). Anyone else?tebowforpresident wrote:Anybody else get a message this morning asking if you would like to be removed from the waitlist?

I got a confirmation email yesterday thanking me for my continued interest, and that I was indeed placed on their WL. This came about a week after sending in the form, and a day after I called the admissions office to verify they got it.
I'm sending an LOCI early next week so I'll let you know if they send a similar email after they receive that.

Hey all,
So I am waitlisted and was planning on visiting tomorrow, but when I called the admissions rep said that though they offer tours, it may or may not be possible to speak with an admissions counselor. Obviously I'm trying to show my interest to get off the waitlist so my question is: is it worth it to drive to Boston for the day to just do the tour (will it make a difference?), or not? Any thoughts/experience are much appreciated.

In via phone call. How likely is it that I would be able to leverage for a scholly with a 75% from UIUC?
Haven't received scholarship information yet, but I'm not optimistic.

I would still suggest going if you can, for a couple reasons: a) taking the tour still shows interest and they do track who takes tours and b) you start your tour in the admissions office and it has been my experience that the people there tend to walk out and do a little meet and greet with those coming in for a tour, so you may get to talk with them even if not for a sit down interview. Those are just my quick thoughts on the matter, though.uptowngirl22 wrote:Hey all,

I was put on the WL last Friday, really disappointed about that. Anyone know roughly how many people are on the WL or if the WL is going to get some movement this year?

I spoke with the admissions office last week and they said they had a higher yield than they expected of admitted students saying yes. (Weird because I heard this same info from another school too). They don't expect any wait list movement this year.greek18 wrote:I was put on the WL last Friday, really disappointed about that. For those getting calls, were you wait listed or had a decision not been reached on your file yet?

I am waitlisted and received a call, but would be interested to know who else got calls and what stage their application was/is in.greek18 wrote:For those getting calls, were you wait listed or had a decision not been reached on your file yet?

+1, they also stated that they weren't sure if they were going to use the WL or not. Does anyone know if they offer $ to those off of the WL?mrjohnsterman wrote:They are making calls today as well.
