Maybe they are doing things differently this year? I find it hard to believe with those numbers that you wouldn't be a shoe in candidate for ED acceptance. Check your email too. I sat by my phone the whole day Stanford did their first round of admit calls and nothing happened. I was at home so I don't know what could have happened, and then the next day I got an email at 6PM saying they hadn't been able to reach me. This can be the only explanation for you (though I admittedly haven't studied Chi's ED graph, I just believe those numbers to have better than even odds even RD so how could ED....it doesn't make sense). I feel like either you will have an email or they will contact you with good news next week. It could be that they were just behind this year and still have more admit decisions to make.

So it seems that the rest of us are either WL, Deferrals, or Rejects. Do they typically reject a bunch of people up front, or do they mostly defer to regular admission and reject later?

IDK, I think there are more A's coming. NU did A/R/H and then another wave of all 3...I wouldn't give up on more ED acceptances just yet!

Theoretically, that should be a motivating statement, not a ): worthy one...it means that the likelihood of Chi accepting more people via ED than NU is much higher, because they aren't restricted by funds. It also means that they'll be more likely to dip into reverse and traditional splitters to solidify medians, because again they aren't bound to give ED applicants a near-full ride.

I would. Holding out hope for another week is just too much to ask for.
I retook the LSAT solely to try and get Chicago. It is my dream school. I would have sat with my 172 and been really happy at Vandy, maybe Mich or UVA, but Chicago lured me in. If they can't see past my GPA, I understand that, but it's time to move on. Sometimes pipe dreams and just pipe dreams.

Well it's 3 am in Beijing. Congrats to everyone that got in. And for the others that didn't- it matters more what you do at school than what school you go to. Best of luck to everyone!

Chicago traditionally does all of the ED calls on one day. Hopefully they'll break tradition this year for you guys, this thread needs more happiness.
