accepted off the waitlist after receiving the continued interest email. Also receiving 21K per year. could not be more happier. I wish Gluck to all who believe Hastings is the best choice for them as well.

Is that financial aid or schollys? I wasn't aware they even had funds left to offer to waitlisted candidates! Congrats though!auroojgulzar wrote:accepted off the waitlist after receiving the continued interest email. Also receiving 21K per year. could not be more happier. Both, half of it was need based the other half is a deans scholarship. please keep in mind this was not just handed to me, I had to plead my case and show persistence.rebelx13 wrote:Is that financial aid or schollys? just to be curious - what happens if you say yes on the phone, but later on you decide you do not want to attend? Obviously you will lose the 500 dollars, but are you responsible for the tuition fee after you say yes on the phone? thanks

First of all, if you say yes on the phone, it's not a verbal "promise" to pay the enrollment agreement. They give you around four-five days to pay it on-line, in which case you still have some time to decide.lucield wrote:just to be curious - what happens if you say yes on the phone, but later on you decide you do not want to attend? But if you choose to attend a different school even after the payment, there's nothing I saw about Hastings' enrollment deposit being a binding agreement. You will definitely have to tell them, either via e-mail or in a letter, that you are no interested. Not just out of courtesy but also because they will proceed with the whole process. I imagine that they might be a little annoyed if you change your mind later in the game, but that's your perogative.

Did you get the email that was sent out the other day or the one sent out last week if you don't mind my asking?auroojgulzar wrote:accepted off the waitlist after receiving the continued interest email. I withdrew yesterday. I had a Dean's Scholarship, but I had larger $$ offers elsewhere. Good luck to all!

Re: UC Hastings 2011
Hey all, I was wondering if you could help me out with my dilemma. I received the email asking whether I would like to remain on the waiting list on May 2nd. I opened the email at 6pm and received it at 4:46pm. Due to my excitement, I forgot to include my current address on the original reply saying I do want to remain on the waiting list. In addition, I mispelled assistant dean Canda's last name by adding an extra na, I was excited to get the email. However, I realized my mistake and corrected it by sending everything that was asked of me five minutes later. I haven't received a call or anything since then. I am a LEOP applicant and by application was complete in early January. I didn't say Hastings is my top choice or added anything else than what they asked on the email, but maybe I should have? I know they don't like extra info, but at this point I am stressed out. Do you think the first email response hurt my chances and got me off the list? I am freaking out because I got the email in early May and haven't heard anything. Should I call admissions and tell them Hastings is my top choice and that I would submit the $500 the day I would find out I was in, or be patient? Ugh, this is so stressful, and I hope that I can somehow get in. Hastings is my last hope for law school this fall seeing as I let the deposit deadlines pass for the other schools I was admitted to...

your first email likely had 0 effect on anything, don't stress about that...validation88 wrote:Hey all, I was wondering if you could help me out with my dilemma. Thanks, Borhas. I suppose, I should also take into account that my application wasn't complete until early June, while others had it submitted it much earlier. I will just keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. You're right, I am probably just looking into things too much...

I am a little confused. You indicated that you got the "Still Interested" email even though your application was not complete until June?validation88 wrote:Thanks, Borhas.
