I really hope this isn't a stupid question to ask, but how long does it usually take for apps to go complete?
I applied two weeks ago, but I'm still being processed.
Is that anything like normal? I've seen that other folks are also experiencing delays in completion. Is this due to them trying to get all of the EA apps under the wire?
Thanks in advance!

It's normal. I think Cornell had applicants wait longer than 5 weeks to go complete last cycle.

It took me a month to go complete and then another three weeks to go under review.

I've been waiting 4 weeks so far and I definitely don't expect to go UR next week. I think they're working on all the EA applicants... Once they are all done they will move on to RD.

I'm trying to figure all this out myself. I went complete on 11/24. UR on 12/2, and now UR on 12/7. Any clue?

Looks like at least a few of the people that said they updated to 12/6 yesterday got some sort of response today - So hopefully those of us that updated to 12/7 today will get a response tomorrow. Although today was just deferrals and rejections, sooooo could be bad news.

I am choosing to believe that since it seems a decent amount of deferrals/rejections just went out, tomorrow (or the next day, if the office is closed), they will be nice and accept the whole group that updated to 12/7 !

Me too. Your stats have lent some hope to my working theory (well just to make myself feel better) is that a decision was made for everyone that updated to 12/06. Those that were rejected/deferred found out today. Hopefully the rest are acceptances!

does this theory apply to 12/07. i havent heard any rejects. maybe it goes waitlists then rejects, and the acceptances are like in old school. from what i've heard about cornell, i would not be surprised if they kidnapped their acceptees in the middle of the night, bound and gagged them, then tossed them in a van.

That probably only happens at frat-tastic schools like Vandy.

I think so. They are extremely slow....I've processing since beginning of Nov, been complete since "11/22", not yet UR. But when I emailed them yesterday, they said they are trying to get all their EAs first, all EA decisions should be out by 12/23. If you are not EA, I suppose it could be even slower.
