Disagree. It's mostly a matter of etiquette in my opinion. Aside from the issue of what kind of person would really single themselves out like that, it's kinda rude in my opinion. The students pay tuition, pay for each class, each minute. If someone is derailing the discussion and wasting some time, it's wasting money.

What is the word on scholarship information? I was accepted 1/31 and got my official letter a couple days ago. Do they send $$ info with the letter?

FWIW, I used a 15k (60% tuition) offer from Bama and a 20k (50% tuition) offer from Illinois. Said how much I really enjoyed the scholar event but financial concerns were a major selection factor for me. Currently only have a 7500 scholly from WF

You were the first to throw out the insults...kinda hard to "discuss opinions" when you're throwing around "douchebags."

Especially considering the Wake law student posting was a)fairly courteous and b)completely in the right. The observing 0L had no business raising his/her hand for all the reasons listed.

I personally don't think the Wake student had any right to say that, it's a matter of opinion, and that was my opinion. I thought the way he said it was very rude and not the way current students should be speaking to prospective students. Not to mention I wasn't talking to stonewall at all. "No one cares what you think anyway"? Kinda harsh.

Be careful, showing that amount of pride in a school before you've paid your deposit could tell admissions that you don't require a scholarship to be persuaded!

Received an email from Admissions after sending in my scholly negotiation email. They said all money has been given out but they will let me know of any additional $$ they can give me BEFORE the April deadline for scholly seat deposits. Anxious to see how early before that will be.
