You guys see this. It's nice that W&L is being so much more transparent than other schools.

Yeah, I got that packet from them, and I was pretty impressed. A lot of it is available on the website, but still good to see them go out of their way

I was happy to see this on their website:

"The "Business" category (under Employment Types) captures many different types of employment. It may include professional positions, such as within a general counsel's office or in a bank, and non-professional jobs, such as working in a restaurant.
Given the current state of the legal economy, graduates are including non-traditional legal employment as well as non-legal employment in their job searches with greater frequency than they did in previous years.

For some reason it made me happy to know that they are forthcoming about the percentage of their graduates who are working as baristas, etc (4% in 2007, 11% in 2009). The fact that they aren't trying to pull the wool over our eyes about this has made me perhaps foolishly consider their partial scholarship over full scholarships to (lower-ranked) schools that are glossing over the matter. The whole admissions process in general has left me with a very good impression of this school.

Based on LSN it seems like I should get a decision tomorrow if I went in review last week. Is that generally the case?

Yep. almost everyone has gotten a decision the Thursday immediately following the day they went complete.

Any good guesses about when they might start accepting off the waitlist, or begin narrowing it down?

I am praying my 159, 3.3X, strong upward trend, good letters, and URM status do it for me. I have been checking LSN, status checkers, and TLS twenty times a day. It would be nice to know that I got in somewhere

this schools seems to base decisions on gpas more than lsats. I Like that.

If they do cut the waitlist as they mentioned as a possibility, then it'll prob be in the next couple of weeks. They said that people will be taken off the waitlist after the first seat deposit but I read about at least one person getting off in March. However, that person was a girl and considering the 60/40 split towards guys, if anyone gets off that early, it'll prob be a girl.

Me too. Is this good or bad? I just posted my applications 10 days ago and this is the first response of fifteen. Even though a not from my top few choices (DC/Chicago), I love this program and am a little nervous.

"...decision on your file will be posted online by no later than 5:00 p.m. today."
