Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Sigh, missed another batch...with people that submitted/went UR after me (though obviously with better numbers)...
I'm officially not holding out for an acceptance, but a freaking interview would've been nice
I knew I should have stuck to my list from last cycle. I was on cloud 9...this time around, my dreams will be dashed

It's not coming any time soon. If we get it it won't be until feb/mar/apr. No point in maintaining your current level of neuroticism.slax wrote:CastleRock wrote:I think it's time to move on.slax wrote:Oh, so now I have to be sad on Tuesday too? Tuesday were my safe day. Thanks JR.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
just had my JR1. he only asked two questions. exactly 5 minutes. not sure if this is a bad thing or a good thing but i will now commence to get drunk and agonize over it for the rest of the night (took a half day at work so I would be available).
he did seem extremely chill, not that that kept me from rambling for the entire 5 minutes....
sigh

edited to fix grammar fail - was a bit rattled

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
My towels in. I still had a slim glimmer of hope that maybe once they got the auto-admits out of the way they might throw me a bone, but nope. Oh well, not everyone can go to H, and I gave it my best shot.slax wrote:r6_philly wrote:Realistically, I hope for a call in May or later.slax wrote:CastleRock wrote: I think it's time to move on.

Ok, so I received an interview request this morning from JR. I never received one until now. What does that mean? Good/bad?

Of course it is good, unless you are not interested in going.dooterdude11 wrote:Ok, so I received an interview request this morning from JR. I never received one until now. What does that mean? Good/bad?

It's good. It's known as a JR1, and it's a prerequisite to getting accepted. About 1000-1200 JR1s take place with around 800 of those getting accepted to HLS.dooterdude11 wrote:Ok, so I received an interview request this morning from JR. I never received one until now. I've been UR since 11/15. GPA just below the median and LSAT at 75%. I should worry, right? I guess I'm headed straight for the WL if not straight up dinging. Ugh.

Haha I see you already put attending Berkeley on your profile. Would you change your mind for Harvard?dooterdude11 wrote:Ok, so I received an interview request this morning from JR. I never received one until now. What does that mean? Good/bad?
So they dip to 171's. Maybe 170's in a few weeks? Please? lol

Do people tend to get requests for JR1 on one day or do they kinda trickle in throughout the week? Holding on to the last shred of hope...

I think it's generally been in waves once a week. But they're never come in on a Tuesday before either so who knows if that pattern will hold.Confused7 wrote:Do people tend to get requests for JR1 on one day or do they kinda trickle in throughout the week? Holding on to the last shred of hope...

That's great....>.< On another note, why give up so early Knock? I'm sure you still have a great chance! Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Haha. Well i've been UR for nearly a month and a half now, with no JR1 invite. Looking it at realistically, I think i'm heading for a waitlist and/or rejection. It's okay though, not everyone is Harvard material and i've accepted that i'm one of those peopleConfused7 wrote:That's great....>.< On another note, why give up so early Knock? R6, I would definitely strongly consider it. I feel kind of dumb, but I really had written Harvard off. I didn't think I had a chance. (Btw, the LSAT in my profile isn't my actual one, haha. But it's close.)

Knock, I submitted mid-september. Any idea why I'm just getting a JR1 now? Hah!Knock wrote:Haha. Well i've been UR for nearly a month and a half now, with no JR1 invite. Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
No clue. If I had to guess, they probably got the auto-admits out of the way and are now returning to some borderline candidates? But of course, that's a complete guess and not supported by any sort of evidence at all.dooterdude11 wrote:Knock, I submitted mid-september. Any idea why I'm just getting a JR1 now? Wow, the Harvard admissions people are super nice. Harvard just won, like, 100 points in my book (in addition to the 100000 points it already had for, well, being Harvard).

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Do the JR1's all get emailed at the same time or do they trickle out as the day progresses?
I went UR 11/22.
Would I be included in this batch?
