anyone want to disagree?
Disagree, this update seems to be a lot of the splitters with LSATs that are at/above their 75th and based on LSN I would guess that they have locked in their GPA.

Compare this years LSN for Duke to last year and you'll find that the amount of green/admits for traditional splitters is dramatically lower than it was last year compared to the regular higher GPA people where the saturation is almost the same as last years now.

Your softs definitely look good if you conveyed them well.
I hope you're right and I'm guessing that you know about my softs from my LSN profile? I am still extremely nervous though as it seems traditionally Duke doesn't admit too many 3.5ers...

the problem is I was stupid enough not to write a "Why Duke" essay -- In retrospect, I regret this decision terribly...

"If you would like to submit additional/updated material, feel free to do so by email or US postal mail."

Just noticed this on the status checker this morning. Is this new? Are they sort of saying I am on hold?

It appears on mine too, but I've been admitted for over a month now. I don't think it means much.

Already admitted, but I believe I've seen that on the Duke status checker.

Still silence from Duke, surprising since I updated from a November date 4 or 5 days ago and nothing since...

It may not mean much but i am 100% sure it is new. Previously there was a long message regarding your app and what not. i work at a computer for 8 hrs./day, 5 days per week. Combine this with duke being #1 choice, i check status multiple times per every 30 min. This shit is new.

I was WL-ed last week and mine says the same thing. I wouldn't read into it too much.

If I mailed in our scholarship form a week ago, how soon might I hear back, if I'm awarded anything at all?

I think early Feb submissions haven't heard back yet. My form was in 2/7, and they just requested another copy 2 days ago (fax wasn't too clear).

But there is no guarantee they are doing it chronologically.
