Some girl from my undergrad last year got into Fordham PT off the WL, with a 157 or something like that and I think her GPA was only like a 3.6-3.7

I have a question: I am considering sending an LOCI to Fordham saying that if they accept me I would definitely go there. I have already had 2-3 date changes(not too sure) and the last one was 1/25... I have already gotten accepted to Illinois Law with a 25k scholly and have no problem relocating anywhere for law school, However, I am from NYC and would like to find employment here after graduation. Being that these schools are mostly regional schools I just wanted to reaffirm the sentiment that Fordham would probably be a better choice for me, any feedback would be great!

Note: I am also waiting to hear back from BU/Notre Dame/Vandy & UCLA(reach schools)

Just waitlisted, no idea why. Possible YP? Doesn't seem that likely, however.

165/4.0+, questionably URM ... Already been accepted to three T14s. This is the first non-admit response I get. I was kind of considering Fordham and hoping they'd throw me some money.

Did you write a why Fordham essay? That's strange. I'm sure it's YP because I got in with both lower stats and I'm not URM. They saw that you're URM with those stats and they were sure you would get into better schools and go to one. That's why writing a WHY X essay really helps I guess

while numbers are important, they get the impression that they really look closely at each application

while numbers are important, they get the impression that they really look closely at each application

every school says this.

I'm not saying I was a victim of YP, my numbers might just not have been good enough even. Honestly though, I have 4 years of RELEVANT WE, amazing LORs, an at least decent PS, along with a TON of volunteer work, with leadership roles, at around 25+ hours a week, in addition to working full time for 6 years.

I think holistically, I'm a pretty good applicant.

I dont know what your numbers are but if you are above medians then it certainly sounds like YP. I would just write a LOCI if you are still interested in going.

I'm above LSAT median, and at GPA median, I wouldn't really think that would be YP. I have pretty much committed to the fact that they just don't like me. I might write a LOCI, though without money, I likely won't attend anyway, and I doubt I will get off the WL and get money....
